We use the cafe at Broughton a lot, however on Friday 14th March, we were not happy with our experience. Staff were directing customers to get food before they got a table and even asking customers to move tables, then when you had your food there were no tables to sit down. Once you were sat and had your food staff were watching to clear your table to give it to another customer, felt harassed. The cafe is not big enough that is not the customers fault. Get your act together M& S. This is not acceptable.

A very average M&S cafe experience. Slow queues; insufficient seating and dull environment. Dishes not cleared off tables efficiently. Not what one would expect from M&S. Broughton management should request a drastic overhaul and extend space for loyal customers.

At broughton Park. I have never spent more time waiting in a queue for a sandwich and a coffee. What is going on. Plenty of staff...glacial pace. People in the queue all confused about how long we had to wait. Will not be coming again. Plus I had newborn in a sling and had to give up waiting.

Customer Service were very rude to my mother when she asked to return an unopened grocery item due to a mistake and an ingredient in the small print. She was told M&S don't refund ANY food items My mother was then shamed by M&S who told her the food returned would have to be destroyed. She asked for the Manager, eventually she had to go and look for them both. She showed him her DISABILITY ID and has obvious mobility issues, she even told the manager she has pain walking. He route marched round the store to similar items to exchange and then watched her trying to read labels She was not offered assistance or a chair while resolving this. Eventually he issued the £1.30. We are concerned her Disability ID was ignored. M&S website shows Broughton has many "ACCESSABLE" facilities listed including a chair available & staff training? She said Broughton staff were rude and unhelpful. The Sunflower Disability Scheme alerts staff a customer has a medical condition and it MUST NOT be ignored. We know of no other chain who does not refund unopened grocery even Waitrose. M&S must make their policy clear & accessible.
