Very small twin room with beds laid foot to foot. Very strange. Good size bathroom. TV did not work - could not enjoy lads sport tv. Tried to resolve a few times. No real staff presence on site - had to comm via WhatsApp? Good breakfast but odd needed to order night before - was a very small hotel. Poor value for money.

Great location in-between Brecon town & Hay. A gorgeous coaching in with tasteful and claiming interiors that respond well to the grade two architecture. Check in was welcoming and wholesome family running the B&B. Room 5 was delightful with super king bed and art wallpaper for a cwtchy interior. Sparkling clean bathroom too. Breakfast was filling and accommodating for Veggie options.

Beautiful stunning decor. Lovely comfortable clean room. Great relaxed feel to the place. Gorgeous garden and trees. Lovely friendly staff and owners. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. However, it would be nice to have the option of cereal and/or some fruit, plus a glass of fresh orange. Maybe this could be provided on the side to help yourself. (Hence the 4 stars, it would have been 5 if this was provided!) We did miss an option of an evening meal, but we drove to the Griffin which was close by and enjoyed bar food. We would definitely stay again! Thank you

Just had two lovely nights at the Three Cocks hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and welcomed us by name. My friend and I had two super rooms that had everything you need for a comfy stay. Impressed by how beautifully clean everything was and the thought of providing good quality toiletries, ample towels, hair dryer and a good stock of tea and coffee. The breakfast was also excellent and served at a time you wanted so was not and freshly cooked. Thank you so much for a super stay, I would happily encourage others to follow in our footsteps.

We stayed here as our children were locally on PGL and I need to do a pump change. I just looked for the nearest B&B and this was it . But oh how lucky we were. What a Gem. Throughout it has been tastefully decorated whilst painstakingly keeping its original character of an old inn. We had room 4 . It's a large spacious room with bath shower ensuite. Which was Spotlessly clean and Beautifully presented. In the room it's the little touches the tea coffee biscuits with beautiful mugs. Water in a bottle and 2 glasses. We had a lovely outlook into the back garden. Also in the room is a lovely leather information booklet. Which suggests nearby eateries and other information I totally suggest the OLD BARN INN. Directly over the road. Food is lovely and home made. Owner is a delight. Breakfast at The Three cocks is order on check Inn which is a fabulous idea. It was delicious. Plenty of tea coffee and pastries juices. Breakfast is Cooked to order for the time you requested breakfast at. Please stay here. You won't be disappointed. We will be back x but I'll need a family room which I've been told is in the pipeline.

I stayed at the Three Cocks Bed and Breakfast at the end of June with my colleagues. Our stay was very comfortable and the hosts were very attentive. The decor was homely and the property has recently been redecorated to a high standard, whilst retaining the charm of an old building which we loved! Breakfast was fantastic each morning with a choice of continental or cooked breakfast with a large choice for each. They were able to make adjustments for my friend who was vegan and required oatmilk. Thank you all for a lovely stay - we hope to be back in the future!

We stayed here for 2 nights as a couple for the Hay Festival, arranged through booking.com The rate looks like it was increased for the duration of the festival, but I guess that's to be expected. The owner was charming and welcoming; she checked with us whilst en route & explained how we could check in if there was no-one around. All went smoothly. It looks freshly redecorated and spotlessly clean. It retains olde world charm with exposed beams and uneven floors (that's a good thing!). Our room was at the very top, and although there's not en suite, there is a separate private bathroom across the hall. Breakfast is pre-ordered and was very good - usual full English. Transport to & from Hay can be challenging if you don't want to drive. Apparently there used to be a shuttle bus, but that had been withdrawn. We got a taxi there and were lucky to be able to get a shared taxi back at night. The festival itself isn't well served by public transport, so try to arrange this in advance if you can. The site is busy, so 4G is so over-subscribed as to make apps unusable; it's hit & miss if taxi firms answer the phone. Wi-Fi is strong and stable in the B&B. There's no evening meal option or bar, but a very good pub with food right across the road. In good weather, the garden is lovely. Recommended.

Small room with smallest double bed we have ever used. Hardly anywhere to hang clothes and minute en-suite shower-room. Mininimum amount of breakfast was not freshly cooked - just slightly warmed-up. No welcome - just a key with note left on the reception counter. Not being there is the best way of avoiding comments from customers expecting more for the extortionate prices they are charging.
