Singing the praises of the service manager Terry Pepper at the Hay on Wye Land Rover dealership here ( based a few miles out at Three Cocks) to anyone who?ll listen, for his honesty & integrity to do the right thing by us, even though we?d bought our Land Rover Discovery from Hatfields In Shrewsbury nearly 2 years previously. To explain- several months ago I brought our 17 plate Discovery over to Terry for a second opinion on the need for a new engine. This was recommended by Citizens Advice to substantiate our claims that Hatfields should be responsible for providing a new engine but with no guarantee they?d do this & in our desperation we were looking at covering the cost ourselves & trying to claim the money back retrospectively.( Very long story) To cut this very long story as short as possible, Terry could have very easily taken the most hassle free path to him & said? yep sorry def needs a new engine & here?s your quote& obviously we?d be delighted to get the job of doing it for you?( around £15k) Instead he chose to pull up the vehicle?s service history & enlighten us that we should never have been sold it with the Land Rover used vehicle guarantee as it had 2 major blips in its history which totally invalidated the conditions of sale guarantee. Total game changer for us & we now have a beautiful new 3L Discovery which will be looked after by Terry& his team despite it being a 2 hour drive from us. Hatfields have continued to behave without a shred of apology, conscience & decency & again, to cut a very long story short, we have learnt the hard way that all Land Rover dealers are most definitely not the same!!! If only everyone gave customer service& doing the right thing the same priority as Terry & Sinclair in general obviously do!!!

Appalling sales organisation, even more appalling negligence to initially fix faults and now found out falsely sold a car without the advised full service history. Avoid unless you want an unpleasant experience

10am on a Saturday towing a caravan with our landrover and our turbo hose split leaving us with black smoke from the exhaust pipe. Called Sinclair Landrover to see if they had a part, spoke to Aled who could not have been more helpful. Managed to tape up our hose with help from the recovery service to get the car to them and they had the part needed. We couldn't have been luckier breaking down near them and then they actually had the exact part we needed. Thank you so much, we are now enjoying our holiday, without that part we would have been towed back home! Send our thanks to Aled

I would like to give credit where it is due. I had a 3 year old Discovery Sport, unfortunately the front diff failed , two other Landrover garages nearer to me than Hay couldn't look at it until August. I contacted Hay on Wye dealer and dealt with Niamh. She was brilliant from the the initial phone call.. sorted the warranty out

Excellent Land Rover DealerI have been a thoroughly satisfied customer of Sinclair Land Rover, Hay on Wye and their predecessors for over three decades now. They are extremely helpful, efficient and knowledgable. They offer excellent value, and always go out of their way to assist with transportation. They are by no means our closest Land Rover dealer, but stand way above nearer competitors in every aspect of customer service. Colleagues and I have had disappointing experiences elsewhere.
