I rang the surgery for a doctor to phone me back which he did very quickly and then said for me to go to the surgery and I had a great consultation with him and got the right treatment I had a very good experience and the doctor was very thorough

Now shuts for lunch but didn't inform us, so 6 people left standing outside in the heat. There are still only 17 chairs in the waiting area spaced out as if COVID was still an issue. It's very hard to get an appointment still. The 3 stars are for the lovely receptionist who made it a more pleasant experience.

I had an extremely positive visit to Brecon Medical Practice. First a 40 minute consultation with a student called Luke - very thorough and professional and then a discussion with Dr Alison Edwards.

Phoned for 40minutes yesterday to talk to a Dr told to call back at 8am the next morning to chat to a Dr. Been calling since 8 still no answer and it?s now 8:42. What?s the point of calling when no one answers. They should phone you back

Took 15 minutes for an answer (which isn?t too bad) then i the receptionist kept asking me to repeat myself because the phone line kept cutting out (not her fault) but then i kept repeating myself then just sighed and put the phone down.

I've called more than 150 times just this morning. Gotten through maybe 10 times, only for it to sit ringing out until I eventually hang up. One of those times I waiting 20 minutes with no answer. This seems to be the norm now as I've been trying to get ahold of the doctor's for a few weeks now.

So they don?t have a queuing system all you get when you call is user busy I?ve tried calling for 45mins and can?t get through I?d advise don?t use these doctors I urge to you find somewhere else that have a proper phone system set up where u can make appointments and talk to someone

This is the worst doctors surgery I have ever been to in regards to getting an appointment.There is no hold line queuing system, so you can keep calling, getting cut off, then calling again and hence put to the back of the queue, trying this over and over again until it?s been 30-60mins and when you do get through the appointments are gone. And this is the experience of both my partner and I on several occasions over the last year alone.My experience of the doctors themselves is fantastic. But if you can?t get an appointment what?s the point???They need some serious investment into their appointment system.

Trying to get a simple appointment at Brecon Medical practice is a very frustrating ordeal for the following reasons:1. Every single time you call the practice from 8am onwards, to try and get an appointment, the phone is constantly engaged. I tried 14 times on one occasion.2. There is no queuing system by the way, telling you, you are such and such a number in the queue. You just have to wait and wait and when it finally does begin ringing , (typically 7-8 minutes waiting time) it is almost guaranteed that by 9:30 am the appointments are all booked up.3. You then have to start the process all over again the following day as you cannot ask the receptionist for an appointment on another day when a doctor is available.4. Unless you have free time every single morning and just love the idea of calling time and time again, i.e. you are not a working professional with a normal 9-5 job, it is virtually impossible to book an appointment.5. You cannot go in to the surgery yourself and book an appointment. It has to be on the phone ,so, invariably, the nightmare starts all over again being stuck in this loop of misery, simply trying to book an appointment to see a doctor.Why on earth can't you just call the practice at any time of their opening hours morning or afternoon, and book an appointment to see a doctor whenever he/she is available (with a set day and time) without all this frustration and anger this is entailing?I have tried three times now and still no appointment.
