Booked a table for Sunday lunch 3 days ago . Arrived a little early told to take a seat. So got a drink and waited, next we were sat in a queue of people waiting for the bar and to be seated. We were told our table was no.2 in restaurant not by bar in a cross flow of cold air from both doors . A family sat on table next to us they were that close that the gentleman's bum was pushed into my face as he sat down. When we asked to move they then lied about table number when we knew we were sat on table 20 as waitress told us . Decided to leave I was passing comment to my partner when a rude foul mouth lady with curly hair and glasses followed us out into carpark and start dishing abuse then asked if we had been here before we said she said good don't come back . Never met such rude unfriendly atmosphere and staff .

We have recently bought a caravan in the area, and decided to book for Sunday lunch. You will not be disappointed at all. The quality of food and selection was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We all really enjoyed the meals and the desserts were delicious . They definitely derserve 5 stars for the food and service. If you want a nice meal and excellent service then this is the place to go

Whilst working in the area for a week, I stumbled upon this local pub after passing each morning on my daily commute. So on a Friday evening after work at 6:30, I popped in for a pint and some dinner. Staff greeted me and so did the small group sitting directly opposite the main bar.
I ordered a Guinness and lamb & mint pie with chips and salad. I tried to stroke the dog who seemed to be a resident fixture but had no joy. I got a bark at least. Not sure if it was welcome or bog off? I took my seat in the empty pub area and listened to the sounds. All from 1980?s, so I relocated to the other seats by the board games.
Approximately twenty minutes later, a shy teenage waitress brought my meal to me. Didn?t engage in conversation just smiled. The meal was very good, pie was very tasty. Lamb was succulent, plentiful and the gravy was delicious. The pastry was a nice texture and the chips with salad were fine.
The waitress was too shy to ask if I wanted a desert after collecting my plate. I thanked the barmaid for the meal and made my way to the car park. Upon leaving a local sat at the bar quipped ? he?s from the south ? which I found to be childish if I?m honest. Then as I crossed the car park, staff unloading groceries from a car thanked me for my custom.

We came here because we couldn't get into our usual places in Aberystwyth and weren't we lucky? We shall definitely be returning for the cosy room, warm hospitality and delicious food - lamb shanks were wonderful.
