If you want a nice dessert or ice cream this place is great however if you are looking for somewhere that provides a consistent service as advertised this is not the place. On three separate trips we have made the walk from black rock sands to porth madog with the promise of a waffle at the end for the kids to arrive with a sign stating due to staffing no food being served. On one occasion I can accept this is the case however on three occasions this shouts to me more that they want to be open but on reduced service and not advertise this. This type of thing could easily be advertised on Facebook page saving my kids a 4 mile walk for nothing!

As our local shop we find it very good and reasonably priced, lovely local cakes and plenty of choice, much cheaper than the shop at the other end of the village.

Really ignorant staff. We stood for ten minutes without being served or acknowledged. Staff didn?t really seem to care when we decided to go elsewhere. Really bad atmosphere and attitude. Would recommend Cariad Gelato across the road instead.

Great ice cream and a very helpful man young man served us. My husband was delighted to find a couple of gluten free pies on offer.

If you're staying in a rental in the village or one of the nearby caravan parks, this shop is handy for everyday essentials and 'bits and pieces'. It's not Morrisons or Lidl, so some stuff will be more expensive than at big name supermarkets, but in the grand scheme of things not much more really, and at the end of the day despite the Premier franchise/branding, you're supporting a local independent business in Borth.

Visiting Porthmadog for shopping, stopped off at Cadwaladers on the high street for a morning coffee and drink for little one. Excellent Café Latte, served by bubbly and friendly waitress who couldn't do enough to help. Comfy sofas inside. Clean and tidy toilets. Perfect morning out with little one!

Some people are here leaving bad reviews, clearly not understanding the pandemic and the damage it has caused towards the economy, especially to local business owners. The new owner took over the shop as inflation was rising so they had no choice but to increase prices. Majority of the products are price marked, so I don?t the big issue. Every time I walk into that shop I feel welcomed by all members of staff, they are so kind and always have the biggest smiles on their faces. Keep up the hard work, looking forward to seeing you soon again. ??????

Visited cadwaladers with my grandson, he wanted a pink ice cream, very short staffed there, then we were asked about allergies, what can i say, i did ask the member of staff why was he asking that maybe they should concentrate more on the mold at the back of the freezer and all over the shutters, being a customer looking in it looks awfull in need of a good clean, the answer he gave was.. we are waiting for new freezer.. so dont bother cleaning it then... realy bad..

In the absence (February) of a café the Premier shop is a life saver!

Another cashless business. Such a shame. 5 of us looking to finish the day off with an ice cream and a coffee, welcomed with a big poster on the wall showing the contactless symbol. So, it may be brilliant, but we never got chance to experience it due to their policies limiting freedom of choice. Imagine walking into an ice cream store to a few flavours, but only being allowed to choose vanilla?.

Sadly, I can't comment on the food or drinks at this shop because we were completely ignored! After a long and difficult day we thought we might cheer ourselves up with a nice coffee for the adults and ice-cream for the boy, and saw Cadwaladers and thought that would be perfect. There were no tables for more than two people free in front, but we weren't sure if there were more in back, so waited while the young man at the counter was serving another customer. He glanced our way a couple of times and we waited, as he knew we were there. He finished with the other customer, looked at me, making eye contact and I went to speak and he turned his back on us to have a chat with his colleague. We waited some more. In the end, at least three times he made eye contact with me, and each time I started to speak and he turned and walked away from me to do something else. We left at that point. We had wanted to support a small, local place, but ended up a few doors down at a well-known chain coffee shop, where we were greeted with a big smile from the very friendly server. Pick up your service, Cadwaladers! Very disappointing.

We dropped by for coffee and cake, but after a 25 min wait for our order, the staff were still unsure when we?d get anything. There were plenty of staff and the place looks great (apart from the piles of empties piling up on the tables). All very disorganised and lots of grumpy customers. Should have gone to Costa a couple of doors up.
