What an incredible find. We spotted this on socials and made a plan to visit. It did not disappoint. The starters were amazing, wine delicious but the steak platter for 4 was immense. Cooked perfectly with complimenting sauces.
We could not move afterwards!

Brilliant experience here! Food was faultless and service was immaculate. Staff were friendly and tentative to our table. We had the steak sharing experience for four which was stunning.

after hearing so much about this establishment over the last few months we decided to book for a Wednesday evening as Fridays and Saturdays are booked out for months.
We arrived promptly at 5.30pm for our booking and the restaurant was already buzzing with earlier tables there.
The staff were nothing but friendly to us as a family the whole time we were in the business.
The food was unbelievable and can now understand why it is so busy at Butterflies.
We will definitely be back.

Excellent he staff were excellent?really welcoming and attentive throughout. We had steaks and they were spot on: beautifully cooked, warm, and full of flavour?even the blue steak was cooked perfectly to preference.
Special mention to the garlic bread... absolutely to die for! Will definitely be back.

Amazing food and excellent portions for food. I've been here twice in 6 months, had the Steak Sharer first time (if you love a steak, this is the one you need to order) loads of food, so much we brought some home. Second visit, we had to try the Butchers block and again, didn't disappoint and actually had to bring some home ? Delicious meals, seen the desserts and they looked amazing, but literally couldn't fit it in. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Great price foe two, including a hottle of wine and extra drinks. Will be back again soon.

A lovely meal last night for Mam?s birthday. Cocktails were fab and the staff were super friendly and attentive. The food itself was 5 star. Simply cannot fault Butterflies! We will definitely be returning.

This place is always fully booked and there a good reason!! The food was amongst the tastiest steak I?ve eaten far surpassed pasture miller and carter etc!!
We had rare occasion of date night no kids so made the most in this very pleasantly decorated restaurant, it has a great look and a great feel to the place, the staff was most welcoming even tho we were slightly late we had amazing service and warm welcome!!
Quite simple the Best service & food served here to make it a real pleasure and comfort to relax and enjoy some proper good food!! 10/10 for tastiest food Can?t wait to return !! Had a really nice experience from service and recommendations to drinks and most importantly food ????

I honestly can?t think of a nicer restaurant I?ve been to! And we like to dine out when get the chance so this was a real pleasure thank you ??

We booked a table for 8 people with meals consisting of a butchers block , chateaubriand and two sirloins . Not cheap meals and it was a double birthday celebration . There was an accident on the way which caused us to be 10 minutes late. We apologized and explained why . I was then told that we had a 15 minute grace for the table. we were waiting on 4 people who were in traffic because of the accident . I get it busy and if they had said you only have a 2 hour slot that would have seemed much nicer . The other people arrived within the 15 minute grace , they sat down without having time to go to the bar .my daughter in law still had the baby in her arms as her meal was put in front of her , no time to even settle him
Down in his chair ? table service for drinks wasn?t available to us . The meals were brought to us .. a very rushed experience .
There was a mix up of sauces so instead of just bringing one extra out the staff double checked them all an against the pre order ? so petty for a small amount of sauce . We will not be returning . This was a very rushed experience and spoilt the birthday celebrations ..

We have been roaming South Wales for good food restaurants for 6 month, so far Butterflies Bar and Kitchen has come out on top. The food we had The Ultimate Steak Experience for four. It was all amazing, well cooked well presented and completely enjoyable. The staff are amazing, their customer service impeccable. Would highly recommend. Cannot wait to go back.

I came here for a birthday treat for Sunday lunch. It was fantastic ? We had starters of prawn cocktail, and they were huge, each served in a half pint. We ordered the 3 meats of beef, lamb and pork for our mains. The meat came with homemade stuffing, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. We also shared a dish of vegetables and a large boat of gravy. All of it was cooked beautifully. I am looking forward to my daughter's birthday so we can go again as we really enjoyed it.

Steak sharer was delicious, portions sizes were great, service was amazing and price wasn't bad at all.
The mushroom rarebit is epic.
