This is one of my favourite places lovely atmosphere friendly and helpful staff food is delicious would highly recommend the nut roast on this occasion I've only given two stars for the food but this was only due to them waiting for a food delivery so the available menu was very limited but the food we did have was well presented and definitely good value

Very disappointed with our meals, I had ribeye steak, very gristle, it came wit frozen thin chips peas and half a tom, my friend had corned beef pie, it was corned beef hash served in a dish with frozen mash, we asked for onions rings and garlic bread and mushrooms, but they didn't have any of them, went to the bar to get a 2nd bottle of wine and they had run out, and it's only Friday ? the staff was really lovely though, you need to sort this out before the rush of Christmas.

Haven't been to the place for over 30 years. Food was top notch and plenty of it. The staff were brilliant, helpful, polite and very well turned out. Would thoroughly recommend this place and I won't be leaving it another 30 years !
Be back in a week or so and really looking forward to it. We'll done to you all. !!

Very quiet, but it was a Monday lunchtime. Ordered pie and chips and was expecting a puffy top pie and frozen chips but was really (pleasantly) surprised to get a proper pie and fresh cut chips!

It was very quiet when I went there with elderly relatives. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Chips were really good. Special mention to the barmaid who was so attentive to my relatives as she could see they were unsteady on their feet.
