Attended a wedding at the hotel last weekend and stayed overnight. The wedding was excellent, and the food served at it was very good. The bar service was slow and I was overcharged by £5 for my first round, although it was adjusted when I pointed it out.
Stayed in the annexe. Needed to put my shoulder to the door to enter the room. The room is dated and not very appealing - wasn't really a problem as only sleeping there. However, the toilet was ineffective at taking away waste and needed to be flushed 5 times to achieve full clearance. There was no hot water available throughout our stay, so not able to take a shower; I guess that this was a general problem as a number of guests were complaining of the same problem.
Breakfast was buffet style but not very appetising as it was barely warm and was replenished slowly.
Would not stay here again.

Had a family mother day lunch today, and enjoyed the whole experience. Service was well managed and delivered. Lunch was everything you could expect, with generous portions. Will use again

I would.like to thank the Maes Manor Hotel & Wedding Venue for the amazing service, from the staff and for the amazing food we had at my wife's 50th birthday last night it was fantastic. Thank you, I definitely 150% recommend you to anyone.

A big thank you to all staff - we were a large party enjoying Christmas Day lunch today and we were really pleased with the excellent service and the quality of the food . A thoroughly delicious meal and nothing was too much trouble for the servers . Well worth the money and hopefully see you next year.

Went for Christmas dinner, absolutely outstanding Service from the moment we walked in, lovely staff waiting to greet us with drinks, Manager was so welcoming, friendly but professional,, food absolutely outstanding, would highly recommend Maesmanor, wonderful atmosphere, will be back next year!

Freezing filthy rooms - avoid this place
Stayed overnight while attending a Christmas event. Totally disgusting rooms!
Initially given room 12 but this had an open window, which resulted in saturated beds (the night of the recent storm)
Moved to room 24 (Upgraded for £10) what a joke. absolutely filthy room. Cheap ripped pillows - filthy carpets, but worst of all FREEZING COLD. No heating, no option for additional heaters.
Windows were broken with huge gaps. NO curtains just a filthy blind that doesn't fit.
AVOID THIS HOTEL at all costs.
Mike Yarnold, General Manager? Well, he's non-existent too.
Best to contact Baljit Jaswal, Flaxen Group Ltd, who own the place with any complaints

Great venue and the staff were amazing. I booked a meal for my parents as they had met 50 years ago today at the Maes Manor. The booking of the table was quick and easy. They were accommodating when I asked to drop a balloon off and requested to pay the bill. My parents said they could not have had a better evening. They were sat by the window and the food was beautiful! The staff were welcoming and very attentive and really made them feel special. Thank you so much Maes Manor!!

Last night we attended the Beyoncé night and Mike & the team treated us like royalty! They really couldn?t have done anymore for us! ALL 3 courses were PERFECT & extremely tasty! The turkey dinner was especially amazing & certainly plentiful! The tribute act was AMAZING! and we certainly carried on the night afterwards at the disco!
Make sure you get booking for your Xmas work dos, occasions or just for a boogie? You certainly won?t regret it & will be guaranteed a FABULOUS evening!

Both myself and my husband celebrated our wedding on the 22nd November 2024
What can I say but absolutely 5 star treatment, Odett and her team could not have made our day more perfect.
The entrance to the hotel was stunning dressed for Christmas making the perfect impression on entering.
Nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff.
We booked a meal for 21 of our guests the night before, every course arrived piping hot, not rushed making for a very pleasant evening before the main event.
Our wedding could not have more perfect odett along with the cutesy co, created the most perfect surroundings incorporating a few extra personal touches we asked for, we could not have asked for more.
From start to finish we were in complete safe hands.
The rooms were clean and comfortable admittedly they could do with a make over,to refresh but on the whole a great place to hold an event.
