It's really bad how this company treats there staff ... only care for customers... I'm writing this review for a friend who had there shopping delivered last Sunday now I know the weather has been really hot and the vans can't handle the temperature but for a delivery for freezer items should be a minimum of -17 degrees this helps keep items from bacteria and keeps items fresh , but for it to be 2 degrees ain't anywhere near healthy and should not have been delivered if the vans ain't worthy should not be on the road even though was delivered early and for this was glad to put items away this time next time just order from somewhere else . Plus the drivers have to put up with complaints and deal with issues they just ain't paid enough and feel sorry for them NO AIR CON don't help in the vans ..plus it's hard to get holidays authorised only there favourite staff get priority and treated fairly others get treated like dirt

I have shopped in Asda's for over 40 years but I have now stopped due to the rude staff they look down at customs especially the one with short dyed blonde hair and another with brown short hair
on the self check out part I now rate this store for the rudest staff I now absolutely hate shopping at Asda's Blackwood it's sad because there are a few good and helpful members of staff !!!

Never have any bags of frozen chicken!!!!! And tonight I grabbed 2 packets of peppers and they're rotten!!! I'm so sick of having to go back to this store to return rotten food!!! Ridiculous

This Blackwood Asdas has to be the worst.
No help, only a few tills open.
Never get to speak to the manager! If you have a complaint you have to write it in the complaints book at the customer service desk where nobody reads it.
Don't bother ringing Asdas the give u a list of options and I mean a list only to finally say visit the website.

We've just been to Asda Blackwood and the customer service skills, or rather, lack of, the lady at the basket self service was unbelievable.
We had a trolly but used the basket self service as it was very quiet and the trolley self service and manned tills were overwhelmed, we also had 7 or 8 items.
We were asked if we were paying card by one worker, and after saying yes she waved us through to an available self service till.
Another lady came along, and elderly lady with short peroxide hair and glasses then told us it's for baskets only. I explained that there was very clearly a gent with a trolly next to us, and she said 'he was already here'. I explained that so we're we. She would not allow us to stay and instead we went to join a queue at a manned tills where Carol served us. Carol was lovely, fantastic interpersonal skills, give her a raise.
The lady prior who undermined her colleague, and spoke to us extremely rudely, with our children with us too, upsetting them. That lady needs a performance review asap as she was clearly pushing us off upon her overwhelmed colleagues, and was not at all appropriate.

Staff pulling on line ordering trollies do not give way to other shoppers; they block aisles and freezers , looking with contempt that you're doing your shopping!!

An absolutely lovely lady that works on the tobacco counter (short grey hair and glasses), shame the same can?t be said for the blonde woman ironically wearing a ?happy to help? jacket on the self serve who couldn?t be less bothered to help.

Personally in reply to review below about skinny blonde woman she is 100% wrong she is one of the nicest people on the click and collect I have never had an issue with her and few others. She is always kind and smiling and always keeps great communication when waiting for an order drivers on the uber and just eat app need to remember that asda has just changed to a new system so there is a wait period but if the drivers are not happy with waiting they can cancel the order and allow one of the decent drivers to take the order I'm not being funny the person below has stolen orders from customers in the past so who is really at fault here. the blonde woman is lovely and there are loads of customers I have spoken to and loads of drivers I have spoken to think the world of her. And the rest of the click and collect staff. Thank you.
