Also known as the ugly house. But it definitely is not. It did the most amazing ploughman's and a bloomer ham sandwich. The kids had a slice of cake each and they were huge and they could not finish them. Their food is all homemade and cooked fresh. Their Welsh cakes were the best we had the whole holiday. A lovely little quaint visit and garden is lovely to walk round after you have eaten.

Visited today and we had to wait 50 minutes for 2 hot drinks and a cold milk with 2 cakes, even though we got told it was 30 minutes wait on hot food, but if we wanted cakes it would be much quicker this wasn't the case. There was a couple out side in the rain trying to eat there hot dinner so I tried to clear a table inside with dirty plates on so they could move inside but I got shouted at by one of the staff and told me to leave it. Very over priced for what we had also.

What a fantastic place food is all home made fantastic. Cakes all home made fantastic.we had a short break in Llanrwst sat in the new Inn pub and meet a lovely lady and her husband Jane (fanny) lol and Clive they told us about the ugly house.then after we eaten there we found out she was the owner.her husband Clive what a fantastic guy. The staff at the ugly house was great could not do enough for us. But the main thing is the Indian tea best we have ever tasted Jane imports the tea from India cannot wait to go back next year.IF ANYONE IS AROUND ON HOLIDAY GO AND VISIT THE UGLY HOUSE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. AND TO TOP IT ALL WE DID NOT WANT TO WAIT FOR THE FOOD BECAUSE IT WAS FOR LATER IN THE DAY SO WE WANTED IT COLD TO WARM LATER SO JANE DROPPED IT OFF ABOUT 5 MILES AT NO EXTRA COST WHAT A LOVELY LADY 100% WE WILL BE BACK MANY THANKS THE UGLY HOUSE

My absolutely favourite cafe, it's just a shame it's so far from my home.
The cafe is beautiful, the gardens are beautiful and the food was amazing.

The Ugly House is a beautiful little tea room, we call every time we are visiting Wales, staff are always very friendly and the food is scrumptious
