Fantastic food, good portion size, piping hot and very tasty.
Probably the best fish and chips i have ever had.
We ate in and everywhere was clean and tidy.
The staff were extremely friendly and service was quick.
We ordered 2 adults fish and chips, 1 kids fish and chips, 2 pots of curry sauce, fruit shoot, can of beer and a latte. Total cost £47 which in my opinion is fair price for fish and chips at the seaside.

I am pretty sure the fish we got was not cod. It reminded me of pangasias which is a cheap frozen fish used to substitute for cod. Portion size was very small as well a large portion was more like a medium.

We tend to visit Neptune every year we go to Anglesey and I still don't know why.
The chips are ok but the prices are ridiculous and the service is slow.
Our last visit was at 11:30 just as they were opening, all we ordered was two portions of chips and gravy (one large, one regular) and a cone of chips. Considering they had literally just opened and had only one other small order before us we waited nearly half an hour for our chips, surely in a busy seaside chip shop if there's one thing you've got almost ready if not actually ready it's a supply of cooked chips?!
I'd like to say we won't be back but at least it's only once a year!

Husband and I on holiday. Husband ordered and collected so I don't know price, but the best battered fish in a long while. Fish was moist and fell apart. Batter was crisp and crunchy all over. Not a hint of soggyness. Chips were lovely. Excellent birthday supper

Absolutely delicious. We had two portions of cod and chips and everything was perfectly cooked - chips were excellent and fish could not have been cooked better. Lovely atmosphere with families eating with children and staff naturally friendly. My first review of the Neptune despite many previous visits.
Don't understand some of the reviews the Neptune has received - there is actually another chippy on the same street and anyone that expects fish and chips to be an especially cheap option these days needs a reality check - maybe try reading the prices on the menu board first? Just a thought.

Don't know what all the bad reviews are about the staff are super friendly and helpful, the food comes out quick in large portions with some of the best chips ive have in a long time. £30 for two massive portions of haddock, chips and peas with two drinks! ??

Regular fish and chips with curry saice and a kids fish and chips with curry sauce and a bottle of water and lemon fanta = £29!!! Chips werent cooked enough and were tasteless and hard. Fish and curry sauce was very nice though. Very clean inside but dear.

Went here out of lack of choice - nowhere else to get fish & chips at a coastal town. Therefore it was rammed, despite the ok food. High prices, small but tasty portions of fish. Chips were hot but classic cardboard-y. Big bonus: dog friendly even inside. Cons: it wasn't very clean, the environment is hectic and stressful, unfortunately some people don't clean up after themselves either. Major confusion with cutlery too as they seemed to run out quickly. I reckon the queues which ebbed & flowed was down to disorganisation rather than actual busy-ness. I wouldn't recommend it but if you're desperate for a fish & chips fix, it'll just about hit the spot.

Not eaten at this chippy before, but have to say that they are probably the best chips I've had in a long time.
The establishment is clean and decorated nicely and the staff are friendly. The food arrived exactly as ordered and in a timely manner.
The food was cooked perfectly and the chips and fish were not greasy or oily and were full of flavour. Shame I don't live closer or I'd be there more often.

Anyone who thinks this place is worth the money has never had proper fish and chips. We live near an award winning fish and chip shop and get around 30% bigger portion for about 25% cheaper. This place is a daylight rip off. Portions fit for a mouse yet charge through-the roof-prices. If you want to charge that much, at least make it really good. Fish was not great. Very disappointing.

Almost fell over when I was charged over £20 a regular chips, small sausage, a small fish basket, 2 cans and a pot of curry sauce.
Mostly whitebait as well know is absolutely cheap as chips
(not in this case for a regular chips being over £3.50?)
Staff pleasant and clean establishment
We are only from up the road, a locals discount card would be something for management to consider.
