The room was clean and quite spacious.
The shower needed more power but it did the job.
Very quiet even though there were plenty of others staying.
The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I witnessed above and beyond kindness to other guests.

This hotel maybe be a national chain but has more of a family feel, Chris and the staff were so cheerfull and happy and helpfull, the hotel was extremely clean and always smelt nice and fresh whenever you entered. We would definatley return.

Stayed here for 3 night from the 28th of July 2025, was made welcome from a lovely guy called CHRIS who assigned us room 103. I've stayed in many 5* hotels in America, Asia and Europe, and although this was a budget hotel CHRIS was by far the best front of house staff we ever encountered. Throughout our stay CHRIS was so helpful for any information we required and couldn't help us enough. We came as guests and left as friends. Thanks CHRIS.

Staff are very friendly ,booked 1 night but changed mind so booked for a extra night but was double what we paid for first night which I think is crazy but had a amazing stay thans to manager and also Chris xx

Very good value for money and excellent customer service. We came back from our flight and checked in 3:30a.m. The reception let us in very quick and welcomed, giving us all the info we required. On checkout they went above and beyond giving us some tips for local area and advice. The room was clean, basic and what you would expect. Very pleased. The staff were excellent.

Stopped here whist visiting barry island and doing the royal mint experience tour. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Perfect cheap & cheerful option if need stay the night at Cardiff Airport. Was perfect before an early flight. Basic but all you need!

Wow, what can I say. First off this is a cheap and cheerful Travelodge, do not go here if you are expecting luxury. However it is immaculate and has all the basics!
It is quiet and relaxing considering how close you are to the road and airport. There is free parking.
The biggest bonus though is the staff, i am so sorry I can't remember everyone's name, I do remember Chris. These guys are amazing, they are so friendly and helpful when you arrive, they introduce themselves and the team that are on and tell you everything you need to know. Their customer service is second to none, I've stopped in every type of hotel going and NOBODY has beaten these guys. And it wasn't a generic, rehersed script, they came across as genuine and authentic. Everytime you saw them they had a smile and a little chat. You kinda of forgot it was a travelodge as it was so personal. I don't know if Travelodge do awards but these guys need one. Personally I have had a difficult couple of months and took a trip to Cardiff after needing to have a change of scenery, these guys might not know the impact they have, but they absolutely made my weekend. Well done xxx

Retracted my review from July 2024. Tried to book for July 2025 and yes three times more expensive than the last time. Enjoy it we have found a family b&b with breakfast for a quarter of the price. Remember this when there are no concerts on tour ? where it says how did you find this hotel it should have crap.

Fabulous little hotel and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Only stayed for one night, for the rugby, but will definitely go back .
