I haven't actually tried this yet (there is a reason) but I thought I'd leave a review as this is part of Finnegans Inn (The 'Crop to Barrians). I've heard brilliant rave reviews about The Dining Room and it looks fantastic. It's not one of the cheaper places in Barry but you certainly get what you pay for good food and great service in a beautiful setting. The atmosphere is just lovely. However, their vegetarian option isn't actually suitable for vegetarians (parmesan) and as they only have the one option, I haven't tried it yet. I have contacted them and awaiting a response so hopefully we will have an update soon. Edited to add that they know their only vegetarian option (labelled 'V') isn't suitable for vegetarians and will be working on a new menu when their head chef is back off annual leave. An update to their edit their new vegetarian option has pesto in it when i asked if the dish contains parmesan, they told me No parmesan in it, parmesan has got rennet in it traditionally from cows stomach I'm hoping that means the pesto is a vegetarian version. Still not tried it but hope to soon.
