we came to the Lionel Richie night last night and had a 3 course christmas meal too it was absolutely stunning and such a brilliant night, friendly bar staff and fab atmosphere

We ended up eating here because of the great reviews,
they read..... Best place I've ever eaten,
Best service ever and so on,
It's all good, the fish and chips are good, nice crispy batter not greasy and soggy, nice chips, not frozen bought in rubbish (if they are then great job) the service is good you will enjoy your experience here.
What I'm saying is (and everyone is entitled to their opinion that's the point of reviewing)
I think some of these reviews are a mix of friends and family or maybe people that have never left Barri. This is not a bad review in any way, please come and eat here it's good, just saying the reviews are a little hyped in my opinion.

Came here for food as we?d been drinking all day. Staff were awesome. Really friendly. Food was fresh and served swiftly. Can highly recommend the pulled pork burger ??

Visited in August.
We had 3 Sunday lunches, 2 chicken and 1 beef. Very nice, the Yorkshire puddings were large and tasty. Mash was lovely and seasoned perfectly. However, the roast potatoes were quite hard. Portion size was plentiful.

We came here during our holiday in Wales as a family of four.
We cannot recommend this place enough!
The staff are very friendly & nothing is ever a problem. As for the food. We had fish & chips & it really is probably the best in Wales.
I could not fault 1 bit of it & very reasonable on price.
If you are in Barry or in Wales make sure you give this place a visit.
Kid-friendliness: A very kind friendly place with plenty of kids options.

Despite arriving two minutes after dinner service had ended, we were warmly welcomed by server Josh Young. He was all alone at the bar assisting 8 other people, and still went above and beyond to assist us throughout our visit, making the experience truly enjoyable. If I could give 6 stars for service, I would. The staff truly carry the whole place. Highly recommend!

Visited here last Saturday night on a family weekend reunion
We were a party of 16 ladies, mostly Brummies, but were joined by our Welsh cousins and some of their friends
We'd already had a fabulous meal at Cozy Tapas, so it was all about the drinking, dancing and singing when we arrived - it did not disappoint ?
Bar staff were friendly and efficient, we were made really welcome by Paul - sorry not sure if owner or manager - but was lovely to meet you and thank you for the drinks on arrival !
There was a singer on who kept us all entertained, the locals were friendly and was a great atmosphere, security were visible and it felt very safe
We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely make a return visit next time we're in Barry ??
