We visited the Lobsterpot this week hoping for a lovely experience, as the website looked so nice. The place is pleasant but tight, we were seated near the kitchen door so my husband, who sat with his back to the narrow walkway, constantly had the staff squeezing by with dishes of food and was bumped into a few times. Not the staffs fault at all, they were lovely, it's just very narrow. We ordered a mackerel and potato salad and a prawn and avocado salad. My husband didn't eat his fish, it was all bones. My salad had 3 small slices of avocado and shrimps rather than prawns. They were just mostly green leaves. It was expensive for what it was. We were very disappointed and wouldn't go again. There wasn't even a bathroom, you had to cross the road to use public toilets. More like a cafe really. Would not recommend.

The best mussels I have ever had and my wife had the linguine and she had no complaints witch makes a change, along with great service definitely worth a visit.

Starters and mains come out all at once? Ordered the sea bass risotto - £22? it come out after ten mins of ordering, defo not fresh, looked and tasted like it had been heated up in a vacuum pack in the mic. Chips were anaemic and looked like they?d been cooked with a hairdryer. Muscles were ayt. Soup was probs from an Aldi can. Won?t come back

A lovely little restaurant, sat on the harbour and over looking the stunning mountains of the Cadair Idris. Absolutely fantastic to sit outside, when the sun is shining too.

The food is excellent (& priced high for quality & freshness. It's the only seafood specialist for many miles around.
Be aware of their early closing time, u can't count on service after about 3:45pm.

We had whelks, moules frites and a burger. All were superb. The service at the table was very good but when we waited to order at the counter we felt a little ignored to start with. Also, it?s a little pricey for this type of food e.g. a baked potato with chilli was £14 which is a lot. Our whole bill was just under £40 for food and 2 cokes.
