Fully booked when we tried to walk in, so returned the next night having booked quickly over the telephone. There seemed to be inconsistency amongst waiting staff with people walking in - some staff would say there are no tables whatsoever, whereas others would offer a table on the condition it was vacated by the reservation time.
Staff were knowledgeable about allergens even before checking the book, though the entire kids menu either had dairy or soya in (even a simple meal like sausage and chips).
Food was brought out quickly and was very enjoyable.

Overall a 9/10 break. The bed was comfy but too small for us. The shower excellent
We are curious about the hands off housekeeping. By the time we left our bins were overflowing and the room was starting to look rather unkempt. You have to ask for clean towels which we did and you have to ask for tea sugar coffee etc which we did, but I've never experienced no housekeeping when you are paying approx £117 per night for accommodation. I think if that's the way it is, it should say it on the room information sheet

Just five minutes from Barmouth?s seafront. The hotel is newly refurbished- the rooms are clean, comfortable, and secure. Rooms have WiFi and smart TVs. Staff were super friendly and helpful during check in and the duration of our stay!
Breakfast was included, which was served 8?10am- veggie and vegan options were available. Tea, coffee, and juices available.
The hotel does sit above a bar/restaurant- food served until 8:45pm and drinks served until 10:30pm. Great for convenience, but you may hear some noise on the evening if windows are open.
There isn't a lift, so expect a flight or two of stairs- if you book via booking.com, you can message the hotel and ask for a room on a lower floor.
Overall, a perfect base for exploring Barmouth and beyond ? I?ll definitely be back.

£16 for decent burger in high street pub. Just felt like poor value and exploiting the summer tourists.
Appreciated pints of water.
Slow service but it was jammed.

Recently Found this little gem by accident, stayed here with my two boys after a busy day exploring North Wales. Greeted with extremely friendly staff. Shown to our penthouse suit which held stunning views. Ate dinner at the bar, food was incredible. Perfect location to explore the near-by beach. Very cosy room provided excellent sleep for us all to continue our adventures after a lovely breakfast. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for 1 night and what a stunning place to stay. Freshly decorated rooms are clean and to a high standard. The beds are comfortable and had a great night sleep the rooms have a separate entrance to the bar and grill, highly recommend staying here

We visited today. The food was good, although I think it was not worth the price. Expensive. The bartender was not very presentable. While making the cocktail, she made a displeased face, suggesting that the drink was unpleasant.

The food is really good, I had gammon egg and pineapple. I have to say it was the nicest one I have had for years. My wife had the Welsh burger which she loved, my son had rib eye steak and was really impressed. And the chips are brilliant. The staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for meals.

Quiet little pub great food and even better customer service

Delicious food had the curry which was fairly mild (I'm a light weight when it comes to spices) and tasty. There were 6 of us all having various meals off the traditional menu we all enjoyed it. Service was swift and it was not too busy at lunch when we visited last week. Dogs are allowed.
