Burgers are truly superb,filling and tasty, chips are pretty bland, from other people who were there at a similar time, they also reckoned they are really good with anything griddled, but mediocre with anything fried.

First time in Barmouth today and after a quick walk on the beach we had decided to get some fish and chips like anyone would while at the seaside.
The staff were friendly and pleasant however the food was a complete let down, considering how much it cost?. The chips weren?t even chip shop chips, more like really poor quality, tasteless, dry oven chips. Not even a generous amount of vinegar could have made them less dry!
A seagull about chocked on one due to how dry it was and didn?t bother us after?
Overall it?s a shame as the location is convenient but the food is a massive let down. Also the image shown on the building of traditional fish and Chips from a Chip shop shouldn?t be displayed as the food was nothing of the sort.

the miserable old man is very rood and started shouting at me only because i was sat next to the bwn iach i don?t recommend this place at all after that.

Frozen oven chips and "fresh fish" which has been frozen then defrosted. Tasted like water. Shame as the fresh batter was actually OK. Put some effort in for such a decent location. £10 for fish and chips is a joke for that quality

Nice fresh fish and chips cooked to order for us. Decent portion size. Not the cheapest at £9.50 per person but to be expected on the sea front.Must be under new management since the older negative reviews.

Had mini fish and chips twice quite decent taste if there was enough to taste. what I got for £6.50 per portion about 12 chips and small bit of fish total rip merchant. Check out the photoDietary restrictions: Don?t bother go elsewhere

The worst Fish and Chips I have ever had. Greasy and cheap frozen chips, barely a fish within the greasy and slimy batter. Very expensive at £9 a portion. Hotdog was very cheap sausage too small for the large tasteless and stale bread roll. Had to wait for ages for it all to be cooked and sadly have to give it a 0/10 for the miserable service. Never thought to check out reviews from a chippy before but by god I wish I had have done. Can?t get the taste out of my mouth as I write this review. Avoid at all costs. Wouldn?t even want to feed it to the seagulls in all honesty.

For take out food the food was really nice! We can recommend the steak sandwich/baguette, the jumbo hotdog was lovely and also the cheeseburger! Kids meals actually come in a mini bucket and spade set which the kids loved! I even had to go back because my daughter had asked for the jumbo hotdog then cried when she saw her cousin had a meal in a sand bucket ?? while waiting to be served another lady came back and complimented the cooks on how nice the food was which I thought was nice.

I wish I had looked at these reviews before my visit, all the negative posts here are very true, the fish and chips was horrendous, the fish was just an over cooked batter with a skeletal like piece of fish inside and the chips were Frozen. Got our money back and ran .
