Basic decor, no ambience and staff seemed overwhelmed and chaotic. Waiter constantly apologising due to wait for drinks, order and food.
However....we found the staff very friendly and attentive to the best of their ability on this particular busy night. The food did take a while but it was worth it. Everything was fresh, hot and very tasty.

We had a fantastic meal here ? the mushroom balti was absolutely beautiful, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent, with genuinely friendly and welcoming staff who made the whole experience even better. When we?re next holidaying in Barmouth, we?ll definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a warm atmosphere

We stayed in Barmouth and booked in for a meal. Lovely staff and service and absolutely fabulous food. We really enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend a visit. Book ahead.

Great little place. Relaxing atmosphere. Really tasty food with decent portion sizes. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and made us feel like valued guests.

We called in for takeaway as the restaurant was full. There was a good atmosphere inside. The staff were polite and friendly. We ordered and paid for the food and were told to come back in 40 minutes, which we did and picked up our food.
Unfortunately that is all the best bits as the food was a let down.
Small portions, passable taste expensive we would not pay the price for the food again.
I was left thinking that the Saffron caters for a captive audience and exploits this.
I wonder how the food can get so many good reviews because we give it two stars.

We booked in advance which I would strongly advise.
Brilliant meal.
Everything was delicious and there was lots of it.
Fantastic hosts.
Nothing was too much trouble and everything was brought to the table with efficiency and good humour.
Great value for money.
We'll definitely be coming back to Barmouth and a meal at the Saffron will be high on our itinerary.

We were advised to try saffron s while we were staying in Barmouth and boy was we glad we did! From walking in to order a takeaway we were met with such a lovely nice friendly welcome and fantastic smells of cooking! They advised me on a meal and was excellent! And all the rest of the order was so well cooked and tasty! Thank you to all the staff and management!

Great staff that were friendly with a good sense of humour from the moment we walked in. Was quiet when we arrived as we arrived just as they opened. Food was great good size portions and very good quality. Overall a great evening meal for 5 of us and meal was well priced.

Ok, so I came here 20 years ago with my young sons and had a great curry. Tonight I came with my Wife for our anniversary and the staff here made it very special ?. Without realising the occasion. The guys here work hard and will still make time to chat and make you feel welcome. The food was great, I?m from Birmingham where we have the Balti quarter and I found the food here comparable at the least. Most reviews here are positive?. Obviously cannot please everyone but we came for a quiet holiday and leave tomorrow having had a very enjoyable evening at Saffron ??
