Mmmm. I wish I had heeded the other reviews about tough and leathery beef. There was no shortage of beef in my beef chow mein, but it was difficult to eat. 1/2inch thick lumps and tough and chewy. Left most of it, just nibbled the thinnest bits. They really need to tenderise and thinly slice the meat. The chips I had to accompany it were also strangely chewy, like they'd been cooked a few days ago. I would not be ordering from here again.

We had a takeaway while on holiday and unfortunately it wasn?t great. Firstly the order was wrong so we had to go back. The food was ok but didn?t taste of much. Quite disappointing and we don?t recommend.

Had takeaway so no comment on atmosphere nor service. Chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls and prawn crackers were all pretty good. However, the egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips, sweet and sour sauce and curry sauce and chicken and cashew nuts dish were all quite bland and not worth it

We recently ordered a takeaway from this chinese, and I can say this is the worst chinese we have ever had! The roast pork chow mein was plain and tastless, the curried chicken tasted like it was made from a powderred curry, and the salt and pepper chips were soggy. This meal has made both of us feel unwell. Will not be eating here again, I do not recommend it for those considering having a chinese takeway in Barmouth.

Don't be put off by bad reviews and dated interior. Being Chinese food mad, I was craving my favourite chicken satay and egg fried rice whilst on a mini break. Had to wait 20 minutes for the food to be cooked from fresh but all good things come to those who wait. It was delicious and plenty of it, I was really happy as satays can taste so different from different takeaways but this was really tasty and just perfect.

After reading the current reviews we were a bit unsure to try. After waiting over an hour for an order that was told that would be 30 mins i can honestly say the wait was definatly worth it. One of the nicest chinese meals we have ever had. Food was hot and full of flavour. Portions were massive and the price compaired to home for us were amazing. Will definatly be back when we are in the area.

We were slightly skeptical as we had read the reviews on here and we are not from the area so had no idea. This food was absolutely delicious. We had a good variety so definitely in a position to judge but it was hot, everything tasted great, good portion sizes, not too long wait, the staff were friendly :) very pleased overall.

Honestly if you're looking for an authentic Chinese takeaway don't even bother. As a great enthusiast of chinese food, it doesn't taste close to how it should be. It actually shouldn't be operating as Chinese takeaway as nothing tastes authentic. I am just assuming, either it's cooked by a very novice person or by someone who doesn't have any knowledge about chinese cuisine. Staff were friendly however.
