I know many of these complaints expressed by others on here may be subjective valid , but let me tell you about my experience.
Recently moved from one property to another and decided to stay with varcity. I thought that it would be a hard transition process, yet it was so simple. Felt like they really tried to make it as easy as possible.
I was in search of a place to move into once my current contract had expired, and was worried i wouldn't find any as other companies wouldn?t or didnt care where i went in between contracts ending and starting. But varcity did.
I was honestly thinking? gosh my deposit is gonna be screwed? dunno why i thought this but made me realise something, after they told me the state i left the old flat in was perfect i had nothing to worry about. Like any other company they appreciate people respecting their property and i feel like if you wish to have a nice, private and catered experience you should try varcity.

Awful. Not one ounce of respect for tenants. They do not correct issues with mould and damp etc and they then charge you for issues they have been aware of since the start of the tenancy. Bullies. They tell you when they will be entering the property with no regard for personal lives or convenience and they will enter with keys. Would leave 0 stars if I could.

Very clean house, the contract was quickly sorted, and the rent price seems reasonable. Very nice staff too.

Whilst a lot of our time with Varcity was pleasant, the final duration was pretty disappointing. Inflated costs that they tried to claw out of our deposit which the DPS adjudicators had to help resolve and tone down, so please make sure you contest and fight any deposit charges you receive from them as they're most likely inaccurate and extortionate.
We also had an ongoing issue where our property was accessed without knowledge or permission (which is against the Landlord and Tenant Act of 1985), and despite emailing multiple times to clarify this and ask what had happened, we were ignored at every point and never given an answer. Needless to say this left us feeling very unhappy in the final months, and I would encourage people who value their personal privacy and/or safety to look elsewhere.

Very helpful staff, always there to answer questions and help when needed. Friendly and approachable staff. Straight forward process when viewing, sorting contracts and collecting keys.

Was overall a great estate agency to be with, the lady I spoke to over the phone was extremely helpful and was understanding when I spoke about having a bit of delay on paying rent due to work so thank you very much Emily :)
