ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. The pub fare is wonderful. Breakfast was fit for a king. Concierge went out of her way to make me feel at home. Could not have expected a better experience.Walkability: Traxx is directly across the street from the train depot. So much of Bangor is just steps away, restaurants, shopping, bus connections. Ideal location.

Great little place if you're passing through. Right next to the station and the bus stop. Excellent service, real friendly. Next level chips. Great gin and tonic. Lovely calm atmosphere for the weary traveller.

This review is about the staff!!I was catching a train from Bangor to London and due to a mishap in the train system, there were some delays and my train wasn't displayed in the station at all and the frazzled me decided to take up the early one and was soo hungry. It was 7 PM and I ran into Traxx hotel as it was closest to the train station and asked if they still served food to this guy at the bar.This person, mentioned that they closed for serving food at 5PM. He immediately knew I was in distress as I had just reached Bangor after the trek to Snowdonia and looked like I definitely needed food, he mentioned about a Lidl and asked my train timing quickly and asked me to grab some hot food off of Dominos.If not for him, I would've starved all night until I reached my home at 3 AM. I always judge a place with it's staff, he was the kindest person, I see him God sent! If you're reading this, thank you for helping me???I'd love to know your name atleast and say a proper thank you?? my Instagram social is @that_coimbatore_girl.

Worst service. I made a reservation for 2 adults and said that 1 adult and 1 child (8 year old) would go, but they unilaterally canceled the reservation, saying it was different from the reservation details, and did not even refund the room fee paid in advance. This happened on the day of the reservation, so my family and I were in great trouble. It was an action that was not befitting the name of a hotel, and I don't think it's right for you to make money like that.

The room was basic and clean no more than what you expect for the price which was very reasonable. Perfect for just 3 nights. Very convenient location and easy to get to, with free car parking too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was extremely hot and difficult to find a comfortable temperature and was awkward because of the low ceilings. Other than that we had a great stay.

I stayed at the Traxx Hotel for 2 nights and I would honestly recommend that you find another place to stay. Although the staff is friendly and helpful and it is in a good location, the rooms are extremely uncomfortable.1. Walking into the hotel you are welcomed by a dirty carpet up the stairs, filled with stains.2. Then you get to the room, the mattresses in room 1 and room 8 are literally sinking. The bedding smelled horrible in room 1, smelt like it hadn?t been washed in months. Smelt like sweat and drool. The mattresses are so old I woke up with a sore back and I?m relatively young and I was extremely disappointed.3. The bathrooms need a renovation, they are old.4. The towels were old and hard. They need to buy new towels or invest in a better laundromat5. There was only a little bar of soap in the bathroom.6. For the price it?s a Hard No! This is not a hotel but a hostel.I would not waste your money staying here honestly, especially if you are like me and travelling from another continent and need a good nights sleep after travelling for over 20 hours. A lot of improvement is needed to elevate the guest experience.

The Traxx Hotel scores big on location, welcome and value for money. Just across the road from the Railway Station. Round the corner from a couple of good restaurants and a Lidl outlet. The welcome at reception, the bar and the restaurant was warm and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and exceptional value for this time of year in Wales. All in all you?d be hard pressed to beat it.

We had just come back from a treacherous day hiking, looking forward to getting back to the hotel to rest & have a bath, to find the room my partner had booked had no toilet or shower/bath, we had to go across the hall. I know it's not far, but it states on booking.com that all the rooms come with a private fitted bathroom. I then notice our room has stains on the curtains, paper coming off the walls, stains on the bed sheets, and litter from previous guests on the floor. To top it off, our room was lit up during the night by I assume the sign outside so I couldn't sleep. Plus, there was a mattress spring digging into my back all night, which was uncomfortable! 3 stars, apparently, there's no way. Our friends' rooms looked adamantly a bit better, but 1 didn't have a toilet door, they also had stains on the side of bed and on walls, etc. I didn't complain at the time because we didn't have the energy to be honest. The lady on reception was welcoming on arrival though. It's a shame as it was in a great location. Would definitely not recommend it.

Hotel Traxx is a very very nice place to stay in Bangor.We stayed here for two nights and had the most comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and tidy. The nee were comfortable and soft. They provided a soap and towels. There was no shower gel or shampoo.There is a bar at the hotel and it?s a decent one. You could enjoy drinks, soup and food indoors or outdoors. They have nice benches outdoors.They also have free parking and wifi. We didn?t use the wifi. The working is limited for maybe 4-5 cars. The hotel is close to Lidl and Asda. The hotel is located next to the Bangor station which was the main reason we stayed here.I want to mention Wendy from the reception who was super sweet and recommend us sone lovely places to visit during our stay. She is lovely! Intact the whole stage was very helpful and sweet. They kept our bags after the checkout so we could go out freely and collected the bags later.(The only trouble we faced was in room 5 with the water. It was super hot in shower and we couldn?t get it to a medium temperature, but we managed as we stayed just two nights) I hope the management can look at this one.

GROTTY next to bust road couldnt have the window open and it was warm ...ripped up chair darent sit on it ...not enough plugs even using poor extension...no bedside table ...needs refurbishing decor yuk give me travelodge anyway and that's saying something
