Great service , however I really don`t need two emails, a letter in the post and a phone call reminding of my appointment . Quoted £200 for glasses , took my prescription elsewhere and got two pairs for £67.00 . Mary Jayne was very friendly and answered my questions . Advertisements in shop very misleading.I will not be sharing anything on Facebook or Twitter .

Staff are pleasant enough and opticians are professional, but for us waiting times have been awful. Just over a year ago the two of us took nearly 4hrs to be processed.This year, 2hrs (no spectacles required). The retinal scan test was done twice for me (was told by the operator it was her fault and that machine would not scan properly if moved). My wife was scanned four times by the same operator. The optician told me I still needed to do the Visual field test? and that she would see me again to discuss result. I duly reported for the test but was instead given the bill and told that the VFT was no longer required.There appears to be no strategy in processing people through the various stages prior to meeting with the optician. No ordered queuing, very much 'hit and miss' - attendants tend to see if a particular cubicle is available.. or not. On the day of appointment it had been snowing we had arrived about 10 mins early and there were only a few people in the shop and only one person in the waiting area. Whole process took far too long.Two days after the appointment specsavers contacted my wife asking for her to return and do the retinal scan again.. some issue/problem which was not explained. After worrying for a few days we returned to Bangor and were seen on time, completed a satisfactory retinal scan with another operator, Specsavers said they will be in touch if there is anything wrong. No one has been in touch, so we are thinking everything is ok?Can't be doing with this tedious time wasting business, going elsewhere in future.
