This is a lovely little hotel, conveniently located a few minutes' walk away from the train station, supermarkets, and restaurants, as well as being close to the university. The owner Sandra was the friendliest and most accommodating host I've had the pleasure to meet. Although the restaurant was closed at the time of my stay, she recommended many great places to eat in the local area. The room was comfortable and clean with all the necessary conveniences. I chose a separate private bathroom - which was a bit unusual having the toilet and sink in two separate rooms - but the (actually hot) temperature-controlled shower and complimentary toiletries were much appreciated. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay at the Garden Hotel was brilliant. Sandra went above and beyond to make us welcome, making sure our group had rooms next to each other, and sharing great suggestions and insights on things to do and see. Great location for travellers without a car too, minutes away from the rail station and bus stops. Highly recommended!

I took a trip to climb Snowdon and had the pleasure to stay at Sandra's hotel. Looking back, all I have are good memories. I truly appreciate Sandra's warm hospitality and would definitely love to visit again!

OMG?, what can I say,,,, Sandra made our stay so welcoming, she was just lovely from the minute we arrived to the minute we left..
Offered map of area on arrival, even though it was late in the evening.. Chatted with me and my drunken nephew, lol
Even offered me crisps and juice for travel back to Scotland on checkout. ??
If I am every back in Bangor, I will defo be staying at Garden Hotel if available will also recommend to all my friends ??

I had an opportunity to stay in Garden Hotel for 5 nights. Was attending my daughter's convocation at Bangor University. It was indeed a very pleasant stay. The university, the train station, the town were all walking distance only from Garden Hotel, Bangor, Wales. The beds, pillows were very comfortable. Cleanliness was indeed 5 stars! I also made use of the lounge to rest at times. Sandra was very helpful. My daughter loved her! Her breakfast menu is indeed very good. I am vegetarian but my daughter is not. I loved the spicy cheece she served for breakfast on day and their milk is superb. Thanks Sandra. Loved our stay there. You made us feel very welcome. Tqvm

I stayed here for 3 nights recently. Sandra is beyond kind and exemplifies hospitality and customer service, providing me with great insight into Bangor and my visit. Breakfast was delicious each morning. The location is incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is beautiful, yet incredibly reasonable and affordable. I encourage anyone staying in Bangor or nearby to stay here.

This is a real gem, owned and operated by the Lui family since 1984. Sandra is exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The English (sorry, Welsh) breakfast was cooked to a very high standard, with effort being made to use high quality produce, much of it local. Our room was very clean (and cleaned daily), and it was clear that the ensuite shower room had been refurbished very recently. Incidentally, the Garden Cantonese Restaurant on the ground floor has now closed down permanently, and the focus is entirely on the hotel side of the business, the former restaurant dining room being used only for hotel breakfasts now. Highly recommended!

No matter how small or large the hotels we have stayed at through out the world, this is clearly the best customer service we have ever experienced.
Owners Sandra, And her mum and Dad are so pleasant and helpful. The rooms in the hotel are spotless and spacious. The breakfast was first class and sourced locally.
We will be returning again with great memories.

I stayed here from the 11th to the 14 of July. Sandra was the perfect host. So helpful & cheery. And she made a fantastic breakfast. I can only highly recommend staying here. No complaints whatsoever!

I stayed here recently for a few nights when doing a short course at Bangor University and was blown away by Sandra?s kindness and amazing hospitality. My room was prefect, lovely space and everything felt new and clean. Sandra made a delicious breakfast each morning. I highly recommend staying here.

Had the loveliest time at the Garden Hotel! Sandra was super helpful with all of our requests and just generally incredibly sweet. The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station and just a short walk away from the city centre. Highly recommend!
