Short version:
Brilliant place, excellent friendly service, atmosphere is great both in the bar and the restaurant. Excellent choice for either sandwich lunch and Sunday roast.
We will be coming back and urge you to give it a try.
Detailed version:
It?s our fifth holiday staying in
Cerrigydrudion.
But first time in White Lion since it reopened last year.
We love the story of the community climbing together to save the place.
We stopped for a sandwich lunch which was excellent! Fresh, yummy hit the spot!
Came back today for a Sunday roast.
We started with garlic mushrooms on garlic bread and onion soup. For mains we took the veggie option and the beef, even the children portion was served with a yummy crunchy Yorkshire pudding the size of my head?
Food was gorgeous! our older son complained about getting the children?s portion but he was beaten by it and had to be carried out ?.
We had a couple of glasses of Shiraz wine which was beautiful.
The food was absolutely gorgeous!!! Simple menu executed perfectly.
Until next year when we return for our annual visit keep up the brilliant work guys.

The venue is great the scenery brilliant the staff went out of there way to Help nothing was to much Trouble and the local people were very friendly and made you Welcome will be Back again.

We enjoyed our visit to The White Lion and had a relaxed dinner that was very tasty. I had the gammon which was excellent, and my husband had the chicken supreme which was delicious. A friendly traditional pub that is worth a visit, staff are friendly and welcoming and food is great.

I booked a meal yesterday for 7 and I must say compliments to the chef. All the food was delicious and Nansi out server was wonderful. She made sure my 2 year old granddaughter had a small fork and a little spoon for her pudding. Highly recommended for the food, the service and such lovely staff xx

Popped in as we were passing for a drink, did not eat but the food smelt amazing!
Service was second to none, Rhianon was great with the kids and so polite, she made us feel extremely welcome as did the locals. Beautiful area, definitely worth dropping in! We will for sure be back.

Fish and chip night at the white lion. Went inside to eat and have a drink, next a quiz night started so we joined in. Ended up a good fun night. Looking out for the next one.

We have had both Lunch and Dinner since the restaurant opened and both were excellent; really well thought out and interesting menus; fresh ingredients; extremely well cooked; and beautifully presented. Staff were great too. Highly recommended. We will certainly be regulars.

Popped in tonight as a last ditch effort as my daughter needed the loo. I walked in to a warm nd friendly atmosphere and the team were more than happy to help.It may have only been the use of the toilet but you made my little girls journey much better. Diolch Yn Fawr. xxx
