Paid £43.70p on the 20th feb every think was over cooked chicken was so dry sesame bread 2 lots were well over cooked CHOWMEIN WAS OVER COOKED THERE IS NO WAY THIS FOOD COOKED WHILE WE WAITED Will not be using it again

When on a Tuesday evening ordered chicken curry and boiled rice and it was delicious will definitely go back and order again, well seasoned chicken and very flavourful curry perfect with the boiled rice

Great food , me and my gf enjoyed it all we ordered salt and pepper chicken, mushroom rice and curry sauce. Only accepts cash but the cash machine was right around the corner.
Went the next day to get salt and pepper chip and wow nicely cooked veg and well seasoned chips ? amazing will definitely go back next to I'm back in Bala

Worst I?ve ever eaten. It?s a crime against Chinese food. Chinese food can vary greatly, and this didn?t even meet the bottom rung! Everything was really oily, literally dripping, the food was all congealed and very salty. The crispy beef was beyond crispy and strange dark red colour, the chicken balls overcooked and hard, as was the prawn toast. Everything had the same taste and left my coated in grease. The order came to over £80 and not even a bag of complimentary bag of prawn crackers, but that may have been a blessing!

Staying in the town for one night and fancying a Chinese I googled the local establishments, the new China takeaway wasn?t great on scores but the pancake/chop suey roll on the Google page looked fabulous just like the ones I use to get from my regular takeaway from my home town I lived in years ago ( don?t normally see these now instead of them being the size of my forearm they are now one bite wonders of nothingness so was looking forward to this although a couple of reviews weren?t great, I asked the hotel I was staying if it was any good and the feedback was, ?it?s ok during the week but not great at weekends?
This being Wednesday I thought it was worth a punt at £2.90,
Only me in the very shabby looking shop and my instincts should have got the better of me and I should probably have just walked out before the grumpy Chinese lady turned up to ask what I wanted , oops to late well I?ve eaten in some shabby places in my time and food has been top notch, so I confirmed with grumpy it was one of the large ones like I use to have from my old town and that I was so craving ? perfect paid my £2:90 which had to be cash (no card) and waited whilst admiring the decor that looked like they had let their under five?s do whilst they nipped to the cash and carry to buy supplies. It was at this point my concerns were raised when I could hear a microwave dinging and pinging in the kitchen just after a banging not un similar to that of a large chest freezer lid slammed shut, ( maybe it wasn?t my order ??)
A short time later, what I could only presume was the microwave operator appeared with a very neatly wrapped package even sellotaped up to stop the contents escaping.
I smiled in my best Chinese and left the shop leaving a small tip in the tip jar ( well 10p is 10p )
I quickly unwrapped my delight that I had so looked forward to whilst walking back to the hotel and munched into it ?wow it was full of bean sprouts and meat and tasted great very similar to that of old, smiles all round?unfortunately I think the microwave must have been turned down to keep warm not defrost as 3 more small bites in and there was a shocked look on my face and that worrying thought of OMG am going to be ill tomorrow as the thing was frozen from the rest of the way down ?
Now my thoughts where at this point blinkered by my passion of reliving that experience of old town and I even contemplated taking it back to be warmed up ?? before coming to my senses and returning to the shop to advise them that the microwave was either broken or the operator needed more training to get them from the 4 star environment door sticker that I can only presume was purchased off a popular online website.
The grumpy Chinese lady who was even more grumpy now just stuck her finger in the middle of this nibbled now opened parcel of ice and said I get you nudder one OK.
I just gave her my best Chinese smile again and said it?s ok you put that one down to food hygiene training and you obviously need the money more than me so please keep that too.
Sometimes it?s best to trust your first instinct!!!
A very sad chop suey roll fan glad I didn?t invest in a full meal too.

I would give less than one star if I could. There was something odd about all the food. As others have said, nothing tastes like it should. The sweet and sour spare ribs came in watery barbecue sauce with chunks of pineapple in. There was no taste of sweet and sour. The ribs were awful...huge lumps of fat in them. You have to pay cash so any refunds need to be done face to face in the shop. The chips were overlooked and so dry. We are holidaying here but will definitely not return. Overall, dreadful.

Staying in Bala and ordered the Chinese over the phone for collection. Woman was very abrupt when taking my order. Food was absolutely dreadful! Chips were hard and dry and the sweet & sour had a horrible taste. The special fried rice was also dry although the was a sauce over it ( unsure of the flavour as it was dreadful) Called them up and they offered to refund me the amount for the chips! It was the whole ordered that should of been refunded. It wasn't worth us travelling back there for the sake of the price of chips as it would cost us more in fuel! I would say to anyone to avoid this chinese at all costs. No stars as they don't deserve even half of a star

We stayed in bala and fancied a Chinese... The woman was very abrupt taking our order. We took it back to our lodge and regreted it when we opened it up, the chow main had a very strange smell and was very oily and put us off the rest of the meal.

Customer service was non existent.
Wait time before someone even came out and spoke to us was over 10 minutes, and only then because the phone rang and they took that order first. Then over 20 minutes wait for food, with no updates or contact.
At one point there were 7 other people in there all waiting for service for quite a while too before anyone came out from the back, during our wait for food.

Absolutely inedible. The worst Chinese ever. I would pay not to eat it. Made us physically sick. Chow mein looked and tasted like they had decided to tip a whole bottle of veg oil over it after they cooked it. The chicken balls are rancid bits of salty chicken with an inch of soggy dough around it then somehow burnt to a crisp on the outside. The Szechuan chicken was congealed in jelly ? Looked like a tin of cat food. To top it off every bit of the jelly chicken was pink. None of the sauces look or taste how they are supposed to. I wish I could say it was a one off. but it was rancid before however we decided to give the benefit of the doubt maybe it was just a bad day and ordered again?. Big mistake. Feel physically sick. Didn?t Evan give the wasted items to our dog. These guys need to shut down or go to Corwen Chinese for lessons. If ya want a Chinese in bala drive 10 mins to
Corwen.

Git special chow main and egg fried rice
Rice was ok but special chow main was inedible
Top layer look good soon as u removed that the underneath was burnt
Not a little it was charcoal and meal wasn't cheap with
I've tried to support this chinese as I'm a local but will nit be wasting my money again sick to the back teeth with this place
