We stayed here for a last minute one night break at the end of February. The suite we had was of a high standard, we did have a slight issue with hot water however this was resolved quickly and the GM put things right as soon as they possibly could. We dined in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the following morning. Food was all of a high standard and the general feel of the hotel is luxurious. Will definitely return and hopefully for a longer stay next time!

The perfect contrast to London. An amazing, relaxing weekend away, immersed in nature & wildlife. The team at Palé Hall are all 6 star!My favourite memories are, witnessing bunnies whilst walking on the grounds with my daughter, the team besotted with our dog & my favourite dish was the chicken cassoulet. It is by far, the best poultry dish I have ever had. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

This is one of THE most wonderful places I've been taken to for a treat. And oh was it a treat. I've travelled the world twice and visited beautiful out of the way places, but Pale` Hall to me, has outshone many. Everyone, and I DO mean everyone if the staff made me feel welcome, special and cared for. Although we were only visiting for a paned, but oh how I enjoyed myself. Thank you to all the staff for being so caring.

My family and I stayed at Palé Hall Hotel and it was infested with insects, and the manager (Louise) was rude about it. I do not recommend it to anyone. We had 2 rooms and when we arrived after a 6-hr hike and 4.5 hours of driving that day, it was late and we wanted to shower and turn in for the night. We got to the rooms to find that both had hundreds of thousands of insects, most alive but lots of dead ones, all over the rooms. It was a horror film. Thankfully, Tom (duty manager) was polite and helpful. He moved us to other rooms - one was a downgrade from a really nice suite but we had no choice to accept. Tom said we?d be compensated the next day for our troubles. One of those rooms was 31C and the other 27C despite the fans. After a terrible nights sleep, we spoke to a manager in the morning - Louise. Louise was rude, snobbish, condescending, dismissive and made us feel like we were lucky to be able to stay at the hotel. She shut down the conversation before giving us an opportunity to even tell her the full issue - 'and that?s the end of the matter?. She didn?t care that we had to downgrade rooms, that we had to wait around for alternative rooms when we were sweaty after hiking all day, that two of us hadn?t slept a wink in the ovens we were moved to, that we didn?t get either of the 2 rooms we had specifically chosen and paid for (each room is different so it actually matters). She started to condescendingly school us on what a ?forced majeure? is, as if we didn?t know, and she told us that if we had a problem, tough, she wasn?t interested in discussing it any further. She minimised the problem by belligerently saying she couldn?t control the heat, as if that was the only issue? another member of staff said people often complain about the temperature of the rooms - too hot in summer and too cold in winter. Seems this hotel has a temperature problem all year round. We took the details of the general manager and contacted her. Thankfully, she also took the view that we were well within our right to request compensation and partially refunded us weeks later.I would not recommend this to anybody who values hygiene, attention to detail or good customer service. And I wish nothing pleasant for Horrible Louise for giving us such a hard time and ruining a trip with my elderly parents.

We had afternoon tea, when arrived we had to wait 20 minutes beyond our booking time, to go to our table despite that we were the only ones there at that time, with only one other couple arriving some 15minutes later. It then took another 15minutes for the tea to arrive and another 15minutes for the food to arrive , never once were we asked if everything was alright or offered any extra finger sandwiches, only 3 per person, which I must say for a five star hotel, was rather stinge, doesn't equate to two slices of bread. As we were finishing with the scones we realised that there wasn't enough cream to cover the four scones. After waiting a further 20 minutes for someone to show their face, I had to go myself and find someone, in which I found our waiter talking to another member of staff at the entrance to the hotel and asked him if we could have some more cream.Other than the front of staff, not one member of staff welcomed us, or even said hello whist we were waiting for our table despite several staff passing us.When we had finished our afternoon tea, feeling rather cold, we went and sat in the bar lounge as it was the only room with a fire lit, why was the fires not lit in the other rooms? Not very welcoming when it's the middle of winter and cold. Also whilst we were sat in the bar lounge, which was unstaffed a member of staff came in and collected something from the bar, never asked if we would like a drink from the bar, in fact agnored us altogether,At this time we decided to call it a day, we then had to go and find someone so that we could pay the bill.Overall I feel that your staff could benefit with further training in customer services to 5 star standards

Recently was at a wedding - venue stunning though shame it rained so didn't get out for a walk. House amazing and full of original things. Staff very attentive, polite and observant and obviously cared about the experience they were providing.

Went there for my Birthday. What a place! Stunning outside and inside. The staff were fantastic! The attention to detail is mind blowing. I have been here once before for sunday lunch, which is best in Wales by far. I did wish we'd chosed Ala Carte menu rather than the taster, as i hate to say it, however it wasn't for me (Even though Im not a picky eater). Breakfast was fabulous. I cannot wait to come again.
