A hidden gem just outside Ammanford town centre. Very Rustic decor and thats the charm!!! The young lad does the best cappuccino in the county. Quirkiness at its best and symbolism for times past in Ammanford. It would be good to have tours on how they the package the coffee. You pay a bit more but its good coffee and the sugary treats are good..

Well the place was packed, but it was freezing cold, no heating, it's like sitting in a warehouse. We only had coffee but it was lukewarm and the cups stone cold. Latte was very bitter, I feel it is " the Emperor's new clothes" isn't it great, isn't it wonderful,it's a trendy place.But if you want a warm , cosy place with a hot cup of coffee, this is not the place

A fantastic coffee roastery in Ammanford, Wales. We went to visit the Observation Point and decided to stop by at Coaltown for a lunch time coffee. This is probably the best coffee in Wales, the cafe has a old fashion minning atmosphere with solid wooden tables and soft cushioned chairs which makes it comfortable. The staff here are very nice and friendly and the service is good. We ordered 3 cappuccinos and a ramblejack bar to share, the coffee was delicious as was the bar. I would say maybe a slightly bigger cup for the cappuccino for the price you pay.Other than that, we had a very good experience and bought a packet of Prana Chai to take home. There is seating upstairs as well. I will definitely purchase some of their coffee in the future to make at home and will visit again when I come to Wales.If your in Ammanford, Swansea or Llanelli it's worth a trip - Highly Recommend!Parking: There is parking at the roastery.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access

Ok venue, funny for Ammanford. My latte was cold, my parters was ok. was ok. But the cakes were dried. Basically nothing special.

Avoid this company. A valid voucher code was not applied upon my order being processed, despite it being shown on checkout page. Requested for order to be cancelled or discount to be refunded and it was refused. Terrible customer service.

We will start by saying how awesome Amelia is. We came to this one specifically. There is a store nearer to us but doesn't have the Roastery attached to it so wanted to see the entire thing and as it was my brother in laws birthday this week - we travelled the extra distance. Glad we did! Coffee was lovely - people saying that it?s overpriced, I don?t think so. It?s comparable to Costa / Starbucks etc but tastes considerably better (imo) Added extra to our visit. Whilst looking around at the items they offer, Amelia stated that she could show us around if we had time (best of all - for free!) - it was quite evident from the tour that Amelia doesn?t just work there. She is very passionate about what she does and that and her natural warmth show through. She is incredibly knowledgeable about everything coffee related and answered all questions that we had for her. Even taking the time to show how they expertly craft their coffee - latte art included. I don?t think we will bother with the store that is nearer to us in the future and we will just pop back to this one.
