The heating is only switched on at 6:30 a.m., switched off again at 9:30 a.m. and then again in the late afternoon. The building dates from 1925 and the windows could still be original: you can hear the waves of the sea and there is no need for mechanical ventilation. Upstairs in the family suite (book directly with the hotel) it is quiet even when fully occupied; I/we haven't heard anything from the neighboring rooms (a review from September 2024 said so).
Rooms: A double bed measures 140 x 200 cm. There is a TV, a closet and drawers. In the family suite there is a shower corner and a bathtub.
Walkability: The building is unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. The suite on the top floor is unsuitable for guests with suitcases > 100 l. For public transport it's pretty good, 10 min walk to the train station and from there in 3 hours to Birmingham International (BHX airport). Taxis within town cost GBP 5 and you can reach the city limits for GBP 8.
Food and drinks: On weekday evenings, the hotel restaurant is open from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There are about five main courses, beautifully served on plates. In the evening you can buy drinks including champagne at the bar (on the ground floor), next to reception.
Noteworthy details: Parking larger cars is difficult because the spaces are rather small. When the hotel is fully occupied, all parking spaces are also occupied. The WiFi is sufficient for home office / Zoom.

Excellent venue for a holiday or a weekend trip, ample parking, also secure garage parking for motorcycles, staff are very friendly and helpful, food is excellent and the service is superb, beach front hotel within 3 minutes walk of a busy high street
Rooms: Rooms are well maintained, warm and very comfortable
Nearby activities: Beach front, nice pier, local high street with multiple bars and restaurants to choose from
Walkability: Close to all shops and bars
Food and drinks: Excellent choice on the wonderful menu

A great hotel in Aberystwyth, right on the seafront.

Quaint but comfortable rooms, some with excellent views of the seafront. Not exactly what one would call fully disabled accessible, as there are many stairs and no lift, but it is a great location close to so much of what Aberystwyth has to offer. About a dozen parking spaces to the back of the property. And the cooked to order breakfast is excellent!

Me and my daughter have just come back from a 3 night stay, we both needed time out. Well we couldn't have picked a btter hotel for location, room and the staff where so welcoming and helpful. Every single member of staff so friendly and helpful.
Also a fabulous view of the beach from the rooms.
Nearby activities: Lots of walks, or if it was bad weather, so many lovely shops.
Also a train Station in the town.

Stayed for one night and was so comfy we could have stayed another.
The bed and pillows were so comfy, the breakfast absolutely lovely
Staff, excellent very nice and polite, couldn't do enough for us.
