Fish was really nicely cooked and seemed really fresh. The batter was a bit soggy and appeared unusually yellow. Chips were decent though and the homemade tartar sauce was delicious.

We?ve been coming here for about 5 years and it?s been consistently one of the best chip shops I?ve ever been to. Large chips are huge and the fish portions are also very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Didn't have high expectation being the only chippie in the village as most times in this scenario they don't step up. But couldn't have been more wrong here. Most places were closed for food on a Thursday in October, so it was a chippie tea for our last night. Food was cooked to order and you got a buzzer (seen in restaurants) for when your order was ready so you could sit in car waiting the 10 mins. Haddock was top notch and stayed crispy to the last mouthful, chips well cooked and a decent size. Special of salt n pepper chicken and curry sauce also excellent. All a decent price including mushie peas which was a good size. Friendly staff... Nothing to complain about.... In my top 5 chippies in UK.

We visited on a Sunday evening and it was busy but I?m afraid even though the fish was good I didn?t like the batter . I found it too much and greasy . I would prefer lightly battered, I?m not sure if this can be requested . All great portion sizes though

This used to be a great fish n chip shop now it is very ordinary especially the fish!Parking: Very difficult to park, need two people one getting the food the other driving round.

Joined a large queue on a saturday night it was worth the wait. Amazing chippy and didn't sit on your stomach afterwards which so many do nowadays. Tasty haddock (not mushy like some chippies) and good chip portions. My only bit of feedback is one member of staff needs training in how to speak to customer's. There was no sign saying 'Food collected here' in the tiny hatch in the middle I happened to rest my elbow on the counter and got told to move it. Don't let the lady with very short brown hair put you off. Chippy clearly loved by locals and tourists like me.

Fantastic cod cooked to order and served by a lovely team and best of all a discount for motorbikers because we are some of the nicest & politest people around.

Very fresh fish and chips, all served with a smile ? We had the cod and scampi, both delicious. The homemade tartar sauce was also wonderful. You can collect it and walk down to eat on Abersoch beach before it gets cold too! Would definitely recommend

On a wet, windy and miserable day in Porthmadog, I needed comfort food! The place where I was staying had recommended the Creel so I was confident I would get a good meal. Absolutely spot on! Small battered haddock, chips and mushy peas for £5.50, bargain. I still had to leave some chips but it was all excellent. Clean place and lovely friendly staff.
