I paid for specail delivery and signed for to be delivered the next day I paid £7.35 and was supposed to be delivered Friday the 17th November 2023 and still not got there

Having visited the old Post office site and the new one in Rymans I can safely say customer service has improved immensely. Staff are generally very friendly even when the queue is long (only slight negative but not fault of staff).The reason I have posted a review as Christy helped me with my passport application. Lovely lady.

Total waste of time going here to use there service. I have visited the post office 4 times this week to try and renew my driving licence. On the 4 occasion I have been given a different excuse. Monday I was told to come back Tuesday as they was short staffed. Tuesday I was told they was to busy and didn't have time to do it I'd better coming back Wednesday. So went back Wednesday and was told they only have one person working the counter and don't have time due to the amount of customers so was told to come back Thursday. Not happy with the service but rather than start I left the post office. Today, Thursday I've gone back to Abergavenny post office the que was quite big again. After queuing for 25 minutes and one person to be served in front of me the manager of the stare came up to me and said I'm sorry if your looking to renew your license you will have to come back tomorrow as the tablet is not working I explained I'm a disabled person it's hard for me to get about and everyday this week so far I've come here you have given me 4 different excuses to why you can't renew my driving licence. He response was shocking he basically told me not his problem if I don't like go to another post office. As I said I'm disabled it's hard for me to get into my own home town Abergavenny why should I have to go out of town to use the post office service that my local branch can provide just can't be bothered to provide me that service because there busy.

The change of staff during covid led to a real downward spiral in the speed and quality of service. Some staff are downright rude to customers, indifferent in their interactions and at times very slow in processing items. Such a shame as 3 - 4 years ago there was a friendly and efficient group of staff behind the screens.

Place is filthy. They have not cleaned the counter since the take over. Service is exceptionally slow. They now have a new Homer Simson type who is deaf, thinks he is a comedian and too good to be there. I avoid this place now.

Went here at 1pm to be told they were closed for an hour and half for lunch. No signs atall informing anyone this was happening - just a locked door. After hanging around in town for an hour and a half I went back to post my parcel. I had a prepaid QR code to be scanned so that the post office can print a label for me. Upon presenting this QR code I was told they were unable to print labels and that there was nothing that could be done. They were extremely rude and unhelpful in trying to resolve this issue. I then went up to the post office in the Mardy which were able to print my label without any issues and were considerably more helpful!

The older gentleman with glasses here goes out of his way to be helpful, the young lad is also friendly and polite but unfortunately the old woman is lazy and goes out of her way to be awkward. I went to collect two parcels that we had missed, one for me and one for my partner. I took my I.D. but this old crow insisted that I also take my partners I.D. also even though the card and my driving license should have been more than enough. Today, my partner went to collect another parcel at 5.25 just before closing and this old crow couldn?t be bothered to go and look and said it wouldn?t be back yet... every time in the past these parcels have been back by 5.00. My mrs ended up going straight back in and seeing the older gentleman who went and found the parcel straight away. This useless waist of space old woman needs to be sacked. I go elsewhere to post my parcels just because of this ignorant tumour.

Very slow service & one extremely rude, curly dark haired woman with glasses on the travel desk. I witnessed her behaviour with a customer & she made the place very uncomfortable.

Posted two parcels on the 04/02/22 to two separate addresses and both were lost. Form to claim compensation is ridiculous and makes it as difficult as possible for people to make a genuine claim. Last week, I paid for online postage but the QR code wouldn't work at the post office so I had to pay a second time, they don't do the service I paid for online in the branch so had to spend £9 to get it special delivery to get sufficient insurance (£5 online). The parcel needed to be sent that day as I was then away for the following week. Awful service.
