They were lovely enough to prep a room last minute and a big big thankyou to Helen, we had trouble getting a taxi to the train station and she offered to drop us off just in time, you're amazing!!

Fantastic Staff. 12 out of 10. Kind, Polite Helpful and Friendly.Noteworthy details: If Your not a driver or with a driver. Please be aware it can be hard and or long booking a cab or taxi. The hotel does have quite a few numbers for the local cabs and taxis.

Great hotel. Couple of supermarkets down the road too.

Great spot for a stay on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Room was spotless and service from the reception was friendly and attentive. It's a 25 minute walk into Abergavenny centre and just 5 minutes to a Waitrose.

Do not believe the hype that say the hotel is a gentle 15-20 minute stroll into the Town Centre...........it simply isn't. It is a challenging half hour walk - up hill and down dale - to get to the town centre. That was hugely disappointing to us who had read reviews that suggested that the former was the case - also the list of nearby restaurants on T.A. listed dozens within a 13 to 15 minute walk away. They are not - the Town Centre is a challenging 30 minute route-march. We came for the Abergavenny Food Festival and were quite disappointed by it. It was OK - but no more than OK. The hotel is the standard P.I. offering but we were charged £427 for a three night stay. I appreciate that prices will rise at times of peak demand.........such as the Abergavenny food festival - but I think that is way too much..........yes I paid it so they must have set their price point correctly - but we would never return. We didn't use the attached Brewers Fayre - so we cannot comment on that. In short - if you are young and fit and a 30 minute strenuous walk into the centre of Town doesn't put you off then it may be worth considering..........but £427 for three nights??!!!!!!!

The hotel is as you'd expect from Premier Inn though there were no staff in reception when we arrived and there were three couples waiting ahead of us. The Brewers Fare restaurant was very disappointing and, being short staffed, service was poor. Prawn cocktail was served with a thin sliver of icy cold butter that was impossible to spread by the time the rest of the starter had been eaten! The accompanying salad had been cut earlier in the day and kept nice and warm and wilted by service. Haddock & chips looked great but was a bit of a joke. Served skin side up the batter mostly fell away when turning the fish right side up! The batter was also very soggy, as were the chips. I'd expect a professional chef to get the temperature of his or her deep fryer right! All in all a thoroughly unenjoyable dinner. I have always used Premier Inns in the past but they seem to be on a downward slope. I shall have to consider their competition in future.

Room was ready but I had to pay a surcharge of £10 to check in 20 mins early! It's a new policy and seems a bit mean to me. The shower is fixed overhead with no handheld attachment :( Staff very helpful.

We stayed for two nights and was very pleased with the hotel. Everything was easy from parking the car to entering Premier Inn through two automatic doors (made it much easier when carrying several bags). Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfy and everything very clean.
