I was helping a friend with opening a bank account, called twice before going into branch to make sure we had everything we needed. But after arriving and waiting were told we could try it online but neither member of staff knew if it would work! Absolutely hopeless customer service and abrasive members of staff. Went to co op Bank and easily opened an account with them.

Wondering if I can't get a job here seeing as how few hours of the week you're open it must be a doddle....On a serious note how is someone who works a full time job supposed to access the banks services depositing cash etc when you're closed weekends and by 4.30pm weekdays?

If you like queues, this is the bank for you.After seeing the decline of this once great Newport bank, I've changed to Starling. I can pay in at any Post Office, the app is brilliant.

The bank itself is nothing special or bad, but the waiting times are pretty abysmal. I can?t recall a single time I?ve been able to just pop in and get sorted in 5/10 minutes. It always a 30-45 min wait.

Having to stand in the same queue as people who need to see a bank financial person, it means for people who just want to deposit cash, the cash macines stand empty whilst people are having to queue for over an hour outside to use a cash machine
