Think it?s a ex brains pub now Marstons so cask ale was the Old Brains SA and Gold
A bit tired inside could do with a bit of paint and some decoration

I'm visiting the town with my 7 year old son.
The Hen and Chicken is a traditional Pub in the heart of Abergavenny with lots of outdoor seating and free wifi. Family friendly with a small core of locals that added to the overall congenial mood. They'd ran out of Peroni on tap, otherwise I'd have given them a 10/10 review. Will definitely be back.

It was a pub with character and characters. It was my first time in there and the bar staff loaned me an umbrella as it was pouring. I returned it a couple of days later.?
