We were a group of 6 who pre-ordered our food. We received a great welcome, our order was double checked and the starters were served very quickly and at the same time the same with the mains and dessert. The staff were absolutely amazing we wanted for nothing an excellent experience we will definitely be returning.Dietary restrictions: One of our group needed blended food, even though they didn't have a blender his food was brilliant

My Wife?s large Family met here recently for a post Xmas/pre New Year meal.Our large party was welcomed by a robust, portly young lady and we were sent to our tables.Hardly any of us had the expensive array of drinks due to the prices.The meals were the usual sub standard , watery curry, soggy pappadom, tough Nan, cheap fish, gammon with a micro egg - I won?t even bother with the pathetic starters, nachos with a bit of disgusting cream, chicken wings, etc, etc.At 4.45 we told by the aforementioned lady to vacate the tables for some poor souls to have their turn to sample the excuse for meals they serve here!Good luck, I hope you had better food than we had!

Went for Christmas Dinner today and the service was amazing again. They are so accommodating, friendly and make you feel like nothing is too much trouble. Our second year there and we will definitely be back again next year. Thank you for making our experience so good for the second year. You are all stars

Had Christmas day lunch here today. Have been here many times before, but this was the first Christmas and it definately wont be the last.! Charlotte who served us was great. The food was up to its consistant high standard. It was very relaxing with a lovely atmosphere. Will be back soon.

We came to the Brewers Fayre for a pre-wedding meal with about 20 guests. They accommodated us nicely, food was good, service was good, no complaints. Thanks!

Lovely cool place to have a decent meal. Not too pricy. Staff are really nice. Lots of space, so a nice place to go as a group. Wide variety of drinks as well. The chairs outside would make it a really cool place to have a pint in summer. Food was good. Had a chicken curry, which was quite good. Quite easy to locate. Will definitely be visiting again.

Met up with a mate from the past for a couple of veers Always nice when you return to the bar and the person serving remembers what you're having. Service was a little slow but it was Friday dinner time. Didn't have food so the 4 star food rating is for the limited beers and ciders on tap. Overall 5 stars for a very nice Brewers Fayre with very pleasant staff.

Have breakfasted here often and would normally give 5 stars. But we arrived 15 minutes before breakfast ended, and the remaining food had not been kept adequately warm, hence cold mushrooms and scrambled eggs, lukewarm baked beans and bacon. Disappointed in ourselves for arriving late...

Upon arrival we were greeted by a large sign stating 'please wait here to be seated' we waited and waited, nobody came. I went to the bar to enquire, to be told just seat yourselves. We sat and waited, nobody came to serve us. I went to the bar to ask as there were no staff around, to be told there are no table servers tonight, you have to order at the bar. Nice of the person who told us to seat ourselves to omit that important information. We eventually ordered around 20 minutes after arriving. The food arrived around 15 minutes later. I ordered the smothered mixed grill, my husband ordered the Trio of pies. The trio of pies came with a jug of gravy. It was watery, bland and full of orange floating fat. I ordered a medium steak with my mixed grill, which arrived rare, yet was full of grisle, and tough, and when I finally managed to hack a piece off the edge, it was so tough I couldn't chew it. I sent back. The second steak was cooked better, tasted nice, but I chewed and chewed and chewed and I just could not swallow it. To be honest, the steak seemed like a very cheap cut, and I couldn't eat it. The rest of my meal was OK, but nothing I couldn't have cooked myself, it was so disappointing as we went for my husbands birthday meal. You dine out because its an experience that isn't the norm, which you cant get at home, and you expect quality food and customer service, that's what you pay for. If I wanted to do everything myself I'd have stayed at home! That's not the point of a restaurant. We skipped pudding and left.

I had a mixed grill, they asked how I would like my steak. I said medium rare, it came out well done.The crownie desert was nice but didn't seem to have much of a cookie dough base.You order and pay at the bar, I had to wait a while as there was only one person on the till.It was clean and the food was got an edible but maybe a bit over priced for what we had.

Service tonight was poor. Waitress didn't know what course we were on when collecting starter plates. Mains courses were lovely and filling. However, at no point did waitress return to check if everything was OK. 3 empty tables around us were cleared and relaid by other staff and the duty manager before anyone acknowledged we has finished. 20 minutes sat with empty plates. Manager brought desserts but no apology for delay or anything.

Once a month we head over to the Brewers Fayre for a team get together and breakfast. Without fail, it's always superb. Today was no different. Food was plentiful with the complete range of breakfast items all of which tasted great. Proper sausages, proper bacon!Service was attentive and always around if needed.Looking forward to our next get together. Hungry already :-)Parking: Parking is shared with the Premier Inn but there's always spaces available.
