Answers to your reply,We did not ignore the public toilets we did not know they exsited! We had walked up on opposite side of the road to the toilets taking in the shops before deciding on what to do for the rest of our time in Aberdyfi. Our 4 yr old wanted to watch the boats so we spotted a bench across the road and headed for it to sit a while. I had seen your pub when passing and said after crossing to watch the boats "that looks a great place to have a drink and watch the boats go by" When our 4 yr old declared he needed the loo! You must know what a small child's bladder is like, when they have to go they have to go! My husband said I'll take him over to that pub for the loo and see if its dog friendly so we could go in for a drink! He seen opening times as he approached said 12pm to late it was around 2ish so you was supposed to be open! He followed your signs saying entrance this way that led him to the entrance on side of building. He did not barge in, the door was sign posted as entrance this way and the door was open! Upon entering the gents toilet was right their so he escorted a 4 year old desperate for the loo, straight to it and planned to then ask someone if it was okay to bring in the dog in where he would of rang me, our daughter and pup to come over if it was. He was trying to get out his glasses from his rucksack to replace his prescription sun glasses as you barged into the gents toilets shoving your phone in his face. Saying you didn't believe his story as to why he was in their! What story that a 4 year old boy needed the toilet and that he did not see the public toilets! As for having us on CCTV what on earth will you need that for! If its to have our pictures to prevent us coming in don't worry we wouldn't ever return to you. Or is it for pressing chargers on a dad taken his son to a toilet in a pub that the door was sign posted as enter and was open! Haa police would laugh at you!I'm glad you know what we look like from your CCTV A typical family of four on a mini uk break. A hard working caring Dad, a loving Mum with health conditions she pushes through to care for her family, a 12 year old Daughter and 4 year old Son both well behaved mannered children with a 7month old puppy on a day out to the nearest seaside town to their glamping site!Oh and the picture of the pub was for future potential customers to know what pub to avoid in Aberdyfi not for yourself! We was welcome and suited in Aberdyfi and other surrounding areas we visited.Your very rude! We're great parents actully. Our kids our being brought up in a loving and caring home. They was enjoying their 2nd holiday of the year so far. A uk based glamping trip where the owners have welcomed us back time and time again! It's a shame really that our 4 year old told both sets of grandparent's that he didn't like his holiday because of the naughty scary lady was shouting at him and his Daddy for using the toilets in her pub!By the looks of your reviews on here, trip advisor and the likes, since you have owned the britannia inn we are not the only ones to be faced with yours and your husbands rude, narcissistic passive aggressive shocking customer service!Original review below. What a horrible land lady! Wouldn't go back with the rude welcome we got! Such a shame as it's looks inviting from the outside, in a great location with a stunning view! Put a damper on our day out visiting Aberdyfi! Some people just don't know how to treat people. Why choose to be in a customer facing role, especially in a tourist spot, if you don't like people much!

Wales - Wales - Wales, wow, wow, wow. As beautiful and friendly as Ireland. Where else could Rod and I duck to the local Pub @croesoatthebrit (Facebook) to pick up some wine and get recommended some glorious Romanian reds. The Britannia Inn Aberdovey @thebritaberdyfi and end up shucking and eating magnificent oysters with Gary the publican which he was sharing with the locals. (An Aberdovey version of sausage rolls on the bar)

Great place for a drink whilst watching sport. Barstaff excellent and beer is perfect. Sea view in the bar too. I must try the restaurant before I leave.

This has easily become our favourite pub, atmosphere is amazing, it feels like a family in there, everyone in there is happy to converse, we ended up playing cards with people sitting next to us!

My wife and I have visited the Brit many times over the course of 10 years, and therefore have seen the change over in ownership, and we are made to feel so welcome every time we walk through the doors. We are in aberdovey at the moment and we haven?t been since July this year, and soon as we walked into the Brit, gary welcomed us and said ?hello you two! Not seen you in a few months?, which automatically makes us feel at home. We have also eaten in the restaurant and we can not fault any meal that we have had. If you want a local pub away from home, then the Brit is definitely the one to visit. We?ll be back, as always.Food & drinks: Fantastic Food
