Good selection of drink and dog friendly. Didn't have any food so can't comment.

Fab pub with a large paved beer garden at the front, overlooking Aberdare Park. Friendly service, happy atmosphere. Family groups and sundowner drinks with friends. Dog friendly, so you can bring your pooch!

Served a warm pint of Bavarian lager and sat in a beer garden, some beast of a man who seemed a little worse for wear on a substance meant that we left quickly.

Visiting from Germany, I found this pub the most welcoming that we've been to in Wales. It definitely has that community feel that has been lost by so many pubs over the years. The service was quick and friendly.

Originally from Aberdare. Last time we visited the welsh harp two-year ago.It was good to see Dai still the landlord.My parents used to have a pub on the gadlys.it was good reminiscing.This visit unfortunately Dai was not about. But we still had a great welcome, and the barman was very helpful and patient until our taxi arrived. Will be back.
