Do not shop at this store.I have been waiting for over a month for a refund for over £200 of shopping that was not delivered. After repeated calls to the store, and repeated excuses about my case being looked into and managers being away, still nothing has been done about it. Unless you have £200 to burn, I?d highly recommend not shopping here.

Tesco Aberdare is a wonderful store. They have a wonderful selection of plant based foods, the store is always clean and the staff are very friendly. It is very clear where all of the products are.

Every-time I?ve gone there the staff liked to make things awkward unnecessarily. Me and my friends (all 21yo) were in the alcohol isle when a member of staff asked if we had our ID, baring in mind we was only looking. Then proceeded to tell us that we could try our luck with getting served, no need for the comment. I went to the self check out before my friends when the women then told me she needed to check the ID of the two girls I was with too! They make their jobs so much harder for themselves, keeping track of who walks in. I understand the checking of ID but do they really need to be so smug and patronising. Every time I go there there?s something with the staff

Went there yesterday picked up a few things stood by the till and was un aware it was card only, went to pay with cash and the cashier said vardon only and give me a load of abuse! Said she seen me looking up reading the sign saying card only! Didn't know they employed mund readers! Pat myselfon the back for not retaliating!

Been sitting outside Aberdare tesco for 40 minutes, it states it opens at 8am on the website but not opening till 9am loads of elderly people standing outside in the rain, thankfully asda is open to save the day.

It's a Tesco, you know what to expect and it's ok. Not a big Tesco and doesn't stock a large range of items.I found it very odd that the fresh corn bread (that was always popular) was discontinued (head office decision) and other than some of the basic fresh bread, they've opted to switch to "finest" sourdough lines mostly (I can't stand it myself).At one point they were a little bit naughty with their final reductions of bread. I, like many am all for supporting charities (I'll often do it myself), but everyone likes a bargain and final reductions are always worth a look. Until quite recently I've seen staff literally putting on the final reduction stickers (probably to satisfy head office) and then putting them directly into crates to go off to charity without giving them any time to sell. Really it's defrauding head office and us bargain hunters from getting anything. Their hearts are in the right place though but clearly doing that isn't allowed.Staff are friendly enough. Anyway, it's one of those things where if you are in the area and need shopping, then you will go to Tesco. If you don't, you won't. So this is more a subjective review. It's not a great Tesco but it's adequate and does the job.

Plenty of low price deals on items out of date on the day reductions always a great help to buy and freeze or have on the day. Well laid out and planned supermarket and always someone nearby to help if you can not find something and go out of their way to help find a product. Great food in the cafe reasonably priced and lovely staff.

Just want to say a big thank you to all the staff at Tesco Aberdare cafe! Today Louise, Michelle and Pete were so helpful, And so is everyone else I?ve come into contact with over the years, Bringing my mother over the last few years with Alzheimer?s hasn?t been easy every time her condition gets worse, they?ve cleaned a few drink spillages up lol but they are always so helpful and take time out of their busy day to have a chat with you as well, thank you! X
