What a disappointing stay! The first room we were in made my husband ill. There was mould around the windows and the aircon unit wasn't working properly. When we went to reception to tell them about his allergic reaction to the room they immediately asked if we had used the aircon. They did then put us in a different room for our 2nd night, but it was too late by then, and it took days for his symptoms to subside. The bathroom in the original room also had issues. The floor was spongey next to the toilet, and felt like it could give way.The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful, however. We had also booked the meal deal and were using the Brewers Fayre next door. The first night the food and service was excellent, but it was a team from another Brewers Fayre working that night as it was the Aberdare staff party. The Friday night was a completely different experience. The starters arrived cold. The mushrooms were swimming in grease. My husbands starter arrived minus its dip. My main was also cold. Our food had obviously been prepared for a while and they hadn't known which table ordered it. The person who had served us initially was stood chatting to a customer friend for 20 mins while other staff had to cover for her. The person responsible for the play zone was serving in the main restaurant as a result, which meant no staff were in the play area should there have been an emergency. We had been given the wrong receipts, so had to argue our corner for the dessert we had purchased for our daughter.Overall a very disappointing stay.

Premier in was very good in general but the brewers fayer restaurant I wasn't as pleased with. Got a mix grill and the portion size wasn't the best and peas was like bullets .The cooked breakfast was cold. Eggs like rubber in all very disappointed with the foodNearby activities: Didn't really use them other than brewers fayer

One of favourite PI as its handy for the national park. But it is looking a little tired these days and the age is showing. That said its still a go to with plenty of food options nearby.

2 night stay. Friendly staff. Had to wait more than 5 minutes to be checked in, which wasn't ideal as needed to use the toilet after a long drive. There was only one towel in the room, so I had to go back to reception to get another. The bed wasn't the most comfortable. Other than that, the room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, I don't recommend the breakfast at the pub next door. I had paid in advance, so I made do, but unfortunately, it was a waste for my husband, who tried it on day one but not day 2.

Slightly dated Premier inn, however the rooms are clean as can be. The staff come across rude and unhelpful.
