Sick of waiting for about 10 minutes for the workers to finish their conversations while glancing up at me waiting for them to approve my purchase! Even my 7 year old said why are they just standing there talking?
This isn't a one off either, it's pretty much everytime I shop there! Staff are either ignorant or just completely oblivious to customers! Shocking service

Called in today to shop and take advantage of the over 60s snacks. I asked for the chicken soup, only had vegetable, no coffee only tea and I had to wait 15 mins. Also the person serving me was less than polite. We were looking forward to the chicken soup.

Bald man in the blue jacket was very rude and condescending, all I asked was where to find a product and he was very wiry, like man just tell me it?s not you?re department and move on, no need to be rude to customers

I called in here today to buy some diced beef and I was truly gobsmacked to find they where charging £4.70 for a 400g pack that not only looked really unapitising, but it also had very small pieces. And for myself to feed a family of 4 it would have cost me £9.40!!! So I put them back and went to marks butchers in town and had just under 1.5kg worth so 700g MORE than here for an extra £3!!! Not only that the pieces were 4 times the size and they where much fresher. Honestly I really don't understand why people would buy meat from supermarkets these days not when you have local butchers that provides better, tastier and more fresher meat that goes a lot further for a fraction more. And it not only meat it's other things as well like fruit and veg, so get yourself to your local butchers and to the fruit and veg stores in town. As It honestly pays big time in quality and quantity you pay for. Plus your supporting local businesses as well. Or if your ever down Saundersfoot for the weekend then four seasons fruit and veg is without a doubt the best place to go. The apples (see picture), oranges, Savoy cabbage carrots etc are all 3 to 4 times the size of supermarkets and they are all around the same price and all locally produced and taste 100 times better. And that apple was full of flavour and really juicy!!
Just to add we haven't had a CYO pizza from Asda in a long time and the last one we had was nice, but now they are awful! The base is dry with it being crispy outside and dry and fluffy in the middle, the toppings are nearly tasteless and the quainty a kot is less now, and they also don't have the oil as well. So I won't be having another CYO pizza here ever again.
Plus ever since they put them stupid automatic barrier things in, this place is a ballache to walk into, and the amount of money they charge on items are astronomical especially when I used to work in Asda DC and seen some of the prices of what Asda gets them in for and what they sell them for. And I can tell you some items they are making a 200% profit and that was when I was working there, so god help what they are making now. So believe me are they helping customers? Hell no are they being fair on prices? Heck no. I know it's called business but there's a big difference between business and price gouging.

Asda Aberdare is a great place to shop, its always well stocked and has endless varieties of food and toiletries available. Staff are always on hand to help with anything you need, and are quick to find something you may be looking for. I have always had a wonderful experience shopping here and i particularly enjoy popping in for a pizza or some fresh pastries, and also having a quick browse in the George department upstairs. I would highly recommend you visit.
