The ground itself is in a nice location. But very small. The toilet and shower facilities camp side were either locked or broken for the whole duration of the stay. There was one extra toilet across the road at the pub, requiring to cross an A road. Not the safest experience and the lack of shower with no attempts to fix it were frustrating. It's a shame. It could be a very nice little location otherwise, it just seems like a quick side hustle for the pub. The landlady was fine, blunt - but not rude. No issues there.

This is a gorgeous campsite with tranquil surroundings. It?s good if you appreciate natural scenery and a nice hike.
However, the facilities were appalling and I?d say management is lacklustre. Despite advertising that they are open, the pub was closed- no owners in sight. Toilet facilities were locked and bins were overflowing. Why not take care of such a beautiful spot? I just got the impression the owners don?t really care which is shambolic. For this reason I wouldn?t return. I?d recommend finding another campsite nearby as the surrounding area is beautiful.

We were really disappointed with our stay here. The landlady was blunt and unhelpful from the moment we arrived, which set the tone for the whole visit. The shower facilities didn?t work, which is unacceptable at a campsite.
The pub?s website advertises food, but no food was available, which left us having to make alternative plans. On top of that, the campsite seemed completely oversold ? tents were crammed in with no regulation, even though bookings should really have been capped on such a busy weekend.
The pub itself is cash only and drinks are served in flimsy plastic cups, while proper glasses appeared to be reserved only for locals and friends of the owners. Overall, it felt unwelcoming, poorly managed, and not worth the money.

The campsite is a great location, woods and a river in the site. Lots of fire pits available. The amenities were very lacking, the bins were all full and stank, the toilet in the campsite was locked making the only one available be the one in the pub across the road. Didn?t end up using the shower because of how bad the bins smelt and they were right next to eachother. The owners seemed quite nice

Extremely rude landlady and landlord. When I simply asked to sit by the window, the landlady directly questioned if my shoes were clean.
While waiting for my bus right outside the pub, the landlord told me to go to the next stop. As a frequent tourist, I can confidently say this is the most disrespectful establishment what I encountered in the UK. If you?re a tourist, avoid this place.

Disappointed we were made very unwelcome, miserable people, not biker friendly at all , if you see this pub just keep on going there are other pubs which are far more biker friendly.

Had a great night here Andy is a top man and treated us like friends. Would highly recommend you spending some time here. It's a classic looking Welsh pub with a touch of Chicago. They were not serving food but were more than happy to let us order a Chinese. Beer was cold welcome was as warm as you can get. Will be back for another night ?

Awful, rude landlady. Grumpy landlord. Poor selection of beers. Weird decor. Inaccurate opening times. Bad location next to a loud mainroad. Felt very unwelcome. Won't be returning.

Went there yesterday with the wife. Beautiful location with mountain views. Whilst there I had a couple of pints of Camden larger, which was very nice. Andy the owner was very friendly and informative regarding surrounding area. made us feel very welcome. There is a basic campsite opposite next to a river, which we will be definitely spending time there.

The experience at the campsite was disappointing. Upon our arrival, the staff were rude, appearing to have been drinking. This created an unwelcoming atmosphere, and both my partner and I felt uncomfortable using the restrooms, which were inconveniently located behind the bar where patrons were drinking. When I asked one of the staff members to repeat a joke they had made, I was met with laughter from the group, further adding to the discomfort.
The campsite itself was a small, fenced-off clearing in the woods, offering minimal amenities. The shower was overgrown, mouldy, and lacked adequate privacy, while the only other amenity was a porta-potty. Given the cost, the value was extremely poor.
The next day, we chose to drive further into Wales and discovered a place called Penpont, which was not only more affordable but also offered stunning surroundings and excellent facilities. I would highly recommend those looking to visit this area to consider staying there instead for a far better experience.
