Great singer on when I was there however there was a strange man dancing with a pool cue which made me feel slight uncomfortable, apart from this what a great pub ?

Staying in an air b&b in the town and after a walk down the beach we fancied a late lunch popped in (8 of us plus 2 dogs)Welcomed in with very friendly staff ordered baskets meals and drinksAll came out hot and really good quality loved the scoloped chipsNice local pub good selection of ales and lagers all of us struggled to finish our mealsI would highly recommend

We called into the Black Lion in Aberaeron about 2:30 for some lunch. The two of us, plus our granddaughter and the dog. I asked if we were ok to bring the dog in and was told he was more that welcome. He got served before us as once we were seated they brought him a bowl of water! We ordered drinks and food. The food was exceptional. (We asked for and was given a takeaway container to take what we didn't eat home, it was that nice. We would 100% recommend going there, and will be visiting again ourselves. Very friendly and helpful staff (all three of the ones who we spoke to) 6 stars all the way as I can't give a 5 plus.

Booked Sunday lunch as heard great reviews. A plate full of flavoursome Veg and meat cooked to perfection and with homemade Yorkshire pudding even if you didn't choose the Beef option. We couldn't eat anymore but will have to return to try the puddings. Welcoming and friendly staff that added to the whole experience and lovely decor in their dining room upstairs.

A wonderful evening of sublime food and great service. A hidden gem upstairs above what looks like an everyday pub. Beautiful decor. The staff at The Black Lion were so friendly and welcoming. They really went above and beyond for our evening. Really big portions which sadly left no room for dessert! The steak was fantastic, locally sourced and cooked just how I like it. Even the condiments (Aioli) were made on request! My husband had the risotto with sea bass. Definitely a place to go when visiting Aberaeron! Really central to the town centre too with easy parking. Would come back again for sure.

This place is an absolute gem! The staff are so friendly and attentive and the Sunday lunch is the best we?ve ever had. Absolutely delicious cannot wait to visit again soon :)

We decided to come here for a family birthday dinner - out of the many restaurants in aberaeron, this was by far the best decision! Delicious and local food presented beautifully! A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere with attentive and happy staff will definitely be coming back for sunday roast!

Came for a meal with my girlfriend, had a wide variety of meals available to me, however I went for the golwg y mor sausages. Fantastic!! Will Definitely come in again for food and possibly a few beers!

Me and my wife went for Sunday lunch on a busy bank holiday weekend. The service was very prompt and polite and the food was absolutely to die for.
