Lodging in Aberaeron, Wales

“We called into the Black Lion in Aberaeron about 2:30 for some lunch. The two of us, plus our granddaughter and the dog. I asked if we were ok to bring the dog in and was told he was more that welcome. He got served before us as once we were seated they brought him a bowl of water! We ordered drinks and food. The food was exceptional. (We asked for and was given a takeaway container to take what we didn't eat home, it was that nice. We would 100% recommend going there, and will be visiting again ourselves. Very friendly and helpful staff (all three of the ones who we spoke to) 6 stars all the way as I can't give a 5 plus.”

“Ate there on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday, what a busy, but well orchestrated restaurant.The team at front of house, were welcoming and Uber efficient. The menu had something for everyone. We chose the Cheese soufflé and Monkfish for starters followed by Fillet Steak & Mushroom and Lentil Sausage Roll, the highly recommended Sticky Toffee pudding and the Pineapple Carpaccio. The starters were ok, but the Mains and the Desserts were the stars, not to mention the front of house team. Big Thank you to the Strong Kitchen team who worked relentlessly , producing a vast selection of food…If I had to choose a highlight… it would be the pineapple dessert and the Harbour Team, my husband would say the mushroom and lentil Main and ABSOLUTELY the Sticky toffee pudding.Food & drinks: Great selection, something for all - very efficient Team”
