A busy Greggs, though very efficient as despite the long que it went down very quickly & my wait was short, staff also very friendly here. Don't be disparaged about the four stars as the food from here is more than fine it was just the coffee station was a mess & it's bin was on the verge of over flowing as well as white sugar sachets were few & napkins were missing, despite such I'd still use & go back to this Greggs & my criticisms only demonstrate that this is a popular Greggs.

What I especially love about our branch is the hot pastries first thing in the morning! We're always met with a smile, polite, friendly conversation and it's just a pleasure to have that store in our community, they all work so hard and will even let me ring up for an order and it's ready when I walk in! Nothing is a problem for Caroline and the team ! This Greggs is an asset to the business! Nothing is better than getting breakfast from here in the mornings before the rush, equally service during the day is just as friendly and fun! Thank you!

Standards are slipping.
Went to greggs twice this week.
On the first occasion a bean & sausage pastie to eat out - they were cold.
On the second occasion ate in, steak bakes and cup of tea.
The milk jug was empty, and so was the napkin dispenser.
The table we sat at was covered in crumbs / had to give it a wipe over.
The staff were friendly and gave quick service, but people were asked to immediately what they wanted to order, when they were looking / thinking / before they were ready to order.
I think if the shop makes a few small changes it could be loads better.

Greggs in Whitley Bay is very much the same as all the other Gregg's retail outlets. It's clean and tidy with well stocked shelves full of inviting and tasty food products and all other Gregg's outlets will have similar. The outlets are always busy with staff rushed off their feet but always courteous and friendly despite this. Greggs is a Northern and Great British success story.
