We had a really good experience here. We were looking for a dog friendly pub that wouldn't be too busy and noisy for our dog. Got to the pub, and it was quite noisy and busy inside... but then it was a Friday evening, so we anticipated it would be.
Even though it was a little chilly, we sat outside as it was quieter. The outdoor seating is nicely laid out and had a nice relaxed feel to it.
Ordering food by the app was so easy, and you can do it without visiting the busy bar. Great if you have a dog.
The food was great. Tasted good and looked good. One side order was wrong, but they quickly changed it and brought it back out with lots of apologies.
We also placed an app order for Chardonnay, but they'd run out and came out to tell us and ask if we wanted a different wine. When this was brought out, they said they'd put the 50p difference back onto our card without us asking. Brilliant.
A great pub that is well worth visiting.

We were just looking for somewhere to eat. What we found was a lovely pub whose atmosphere and staff made us feel so welcome thar we even joined their pub quiz!
Dietary restrictions: I have a nut allergy and my partner has diabetes all the food was labeller and we easily found something that catered for both of us

What a joy, sitting in the bayhorse tonight, yes it's quite, but the staff are super busy, cleaning, all I ever see around the pubs in whickham, are staff standing around ( when it's quiet) as a past barmaid 50years ago lol,
That's what we did, we clean we stocked sleves, we checked toilets etc, Charlie and Micheal, you are a credit to your bosses xxx

Myself, my mother and a couple of friends attended the bay horse last night for the only fools and horses themed quiz night. We had a fab time. Sam who hosted the quiz was brilliant. Absolutely fantastic quiz master! She put a lot of effort in to ensure everyone had a good time. We ate there and the food was delicious. All the staff were really friendly. Definitely recommend a visit. Looking forward to the next themed quiz night. Keep up the fantastic work Sam.

Smashing sunny day ? sat outside comfortably on sponge seats they also had plenty shade. Inside about 5 people. Service great.
