Sadly, grim.Beds are as good as ever, but this premier inn needs a massive makeover. A sticking fire door in the lobby, car park overran by vans, therefore spots are tight for space and tvs that actually take 5 secs to change channel. This is a neglected spot, unlike any other premier inn I've stayed at ( which are generally suoerb). If you fancy Toby carvery (across the car park) maje sure you book as I walked in to find no tables available. Considering this place is recommended by Premier Inn (only breakfast served on site), it's poor that they didn't advise me as such.

Good location, very helpful staff, however hotel is very dated, feels like a care home inside. Rooms dated, modern tv but that?s about it. Needs a good spruce up, but in saying that still clean and comfortable, just needs a referb as it feels like it?s stuck in 2005Rooms: Outdated and need a refresh

The Premiere Inn is well placed for those using it as a stop gap on a long journey, or as a way to have cheap accommodation when travelling into nearby Durham. There is nothing wrong with this hotel, but it is just OK as nothing stands out that is special. It is really good value for money.

Just off the A1 so extremely convenient but far enough away that you don't hear the traffic. The staff here are exceptional and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, proper customer service. The only downside for us was that the lighting in the room wasn't great, but everything else in the room was exactly as you expect from Premier InnNearby activities: We stayed here as we were visiting Beamish Museum and it is just a 15 minute drive away

This is an older style Premier Inn, the decor is outdated, needs a goo tidy up and deep clean - general clean too come to think of it. The heating is poor so luckily I had my portable heater to keep me warm in the room. The shower was poor, barely had hot water and there was a shower curtain - which I personally hate. The toilet didn't flush and the TV barely worked - most channels wouldn't work and signal kept cutting in and out. Staff uninterested and not attentive. Wouldn't book again

Standard Premier Inn, service scored highest because of the young lady on reception who was exceptionally welcoming and professional. Unfortunately, the Toby Carvery next door is shut for refurbishment, so you need to go further away for food and drinks than expected.

Excellent premier inn as you would expect, clean room, comfy bed, good size bathroom and what I would expect from this company, breakfast the next morning was cooked to order and really good friendly lady greeting guests and even taking time out to chat with customers, nothing a problem and even saw the chef which was a good touch..Toby carvery was good value for money plenty of choice and good quality only thing could be hotter, but really nice carvery.

Very welcoming staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful.We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we were in the area.Rooms: Stayed here overnight with my daughter and her assistance dog. We had an accessible room which was very clean. Wet room was splendid. Beds very comfortable and furniture in good condition. View outside was clean within green landscaped areas.Food & drinks: Breakfast was lovely. Served by a friendly staff member and chef couldn?t do enough for us. Tea and coffee facilities always at hand in reception. Reception staff friendly and very approachable.
