We go quite a lot or should I say we used to didn?t matter which meal we ordered it was all just say warm, mentioned it to the staff she just shrugged her shoulders and said see the manager ,really good customer service not ,even a couple of my friends have been and said they wouldn?t go back .

Friendly indoor eating area with good classic foods served by pleasant staff. Tables cleared promptly. Scones are ten out of ten!

Called in for a cup of coffee and was so impressed with the food that was on offer decided to have some food as well. The service from the staff was excellent, both friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place if your in the Galleries for a break from shopping or fancy a bite to eat, you will be looked after. Good food and value for money.

Just had the most yukky breakfast ever ! Rock hard bacon cold scrambled egg sausage you need a scalpel to cut and solid fried bread ! Terrible stuff

Friendly service they do a lovely selection of different scones, hot meals and sandwiches also jackets potatoes are good overall a nice cafe with good atmosphere to it

Gillies is my go-to place when I'm at The Galleries, having frequented the cafe for more years than i care to remember. The food is excellent, prices are competitive & the staff couldn't be nicer! Highly recommended

Had a lovely hot beef roll with chips and a cup of tea. Cafe very popular and it looks like their scones are a favourite, will be trying one of those next visit

The food and service is great, the variety of items is fab too. Though, I normally go in for takeaway owing to my commitments, and have a problem every time with getting a cup of Iron Brew, there is a fantastic Iron Brew drink on the draft machine and it is fantastic compared to the bottle, I much prefer it, but I get questioned every time as to why I don't want the other brand in the bottle.

Popped in as this always seems busy (got toastie and chips x2 a drink to share and a slice of cake 20 odd quid it came too! Food was so so, toastie was nice but not hard to mess that up really is it, the chips portion was very small, the choclate fudge cake looked lovley! I took one bite and spat it out it was so dry! Such a shame when it?s £3 a slice but I don?t mind as I love my cake. Overall value for money was not good food not good! Heard the one across the road is better little cafe, I will try there instead sorry Gillies but I wouldn?t return good job you have repeat customers (OAP?S) or I think this place would struggle

The price is very competitive you'd struggle to find such good food at such a reasonable price. Staff are always welcoming and helpful.

I dont know where to start! Firstly i will start with breakfast AND lunch items are just simply cooked to perfection and THEN to add the home made scones, I am not lying here but they are by far the BEST scones i have Ever and i mean EVER come across!
Staff are lovely and as we have just moved up close to area i feel i am going to go from 16stone to 26 stone because i want to eat here everyday! Keep it up folks ?
