I had problem with mobile app and I called the center. He did not help me and made more problems. I went to the bank instead. The staff were helpful and very nice. My problems were solved.

Unfortunately my local branch has closed permanently and the next nearest branch to my vicinity was Wallsend.
Upon entering I was impressed with the modern interior compared to my old bank, however this is where the good first impressions ended.
I was greeted by a very hostile cashier who was very defensive and stand offish from the onset.
I was made to feel very unwelcome and also, as if I was doing something illegal as she loudly questioned me about the simple banking task I had requested that couldn't be completed on the mobile banking app.
For some reason she seemed to be having a bad day and took it out on me with some terrible attitude shown.
The customer service from this lady was appalling to say the very least.
Retraining and upskilling on this aspect of business is definitely required by this employee.
I will definitely think twice about banking here in the future and may even contemplate switching banks to one that treats its customers with slightly more respect and courtesy.
It is such a shame my branch in Byker/Heaton closed as they were all very kind and helpful staff that worked there and I have never had any issues in all the years I've banked there.

Today Friday 02/12/2022This bank has been chronic, all three cash machines are not in use and the other two machines in Wallsend had long queues at them!!!!

I accompanied my relative, who is over 80, to the Wallsend branch, but was then prevented from entering the interview room ?because of covid?, whatever that means - no masks or social distancing was evident anywhere in the branch. Perhaps it was because Lloyds then attempted to sell my relative a credit card and house insurance she doesn?t want or need, and this despite the fact that she is frail and easily confused. Her interviewer tried several times to get her to say she was to be given ?excellent feedback?, but in truth the poor lady emerged shaken and distressed. A truly appalling experience, Lloyds.
