There's just so many nice things on the menu that we ended up ordering far too much.

They might have great food, but I was met with the utmost worst experience. After waiting for 10 minutes near the sign, I decided to walk up to the front open kitchen and ask a chef for help. He rudely told me to stand at the sign to wait to be seated, after I said I waited. The waiter they had kept walking past me until he spoke to the chef who pointed at me. The waiter then ?explained? that there were a limited number of chefs that day and they weren?t doing ?takeaways? (ie sitting on their beach chairs). I then looked at the people sitting down, who had takeaways boxes, and plates from the kitchen at this area. I asked him ?so what about these people?? He responded with ?they probably came earlier?. I then left. I would not be surprised if this was racially motivated, and am highly disappointed. If you?re a person of colour or not from Newcastle beware before you decide to come here. That was my experience at least, and I say this without prejudice.

Wow what a ?place? ? No seriously if your anywhere near her definitely worth a try, literally two shipping containers welded together one taken up by the kitchen all open with charcoal grills, the other with a small WC for customers and maybe 3 tables inside the rest are high stools to either small tall bar tables or sat facing the sea with a small ledge to eat on, more handrail than bar but fine. But wow what a location in the small King Edward?s bay protected from the elements down in the bottom with the ancient priory towering up above. Beautiful sand and sea perfectly frame the view, good is served in either cardboard take away boxes or tin plates very rustic as are the drinks in cans and plastic cups but the food was outstanding, Cooked to order
And as fresh as it comes, we went for the Bang Bank monkfish on a pitta wrap with a crunchy noodle type salad on top, very very good. We wanted the scallops but the last two had just been served to the people sat next to us ! Disappointed as we had booked and it was 1pm but they looked mega and served in a big shell with butter ?? Not cheap but good value as portion sizes were large, we had 3 x monkfish 1 side of roasted vegetables and 2x roasted potatoes (lovely) 3 x coffees and 2 x soft drinks and 2 x wine £200 for 4 people. We were
Lucky as it was raining sideways at the top of the bay but like the Caribbean sat on the restaurant terrace. Would recommend

The best sea food you can get.

One of the best experiences I?ve had in a long time. Incredible food, amazing staff (Richard is great!) and the setting is perfect. I live in Ibiza and have to say it?s still one of the best beach restaurants I?ve been to.

Food was nice enough. Took a while to take the order and the automatic 12.5% tip (technically optional) is a bit steep.
Given the price your paying we were a bit disappointed.

Best food yet by the beach. So different in taste, presentation and still absolutely tasty.
Menu is so unique.

First of all, we have been waiting for food for lunch for over an hour and a half. We came down and our drinks were brought right away. But from what I've been witnessing, only the people that had bookings are served right away. Walk ins, like us, just have to wait and wait and wait. There is no way any food coming out of this grill kitchen could change my mind about giving this place a 2 star rating.

Incredible place. The food was out of this world. Flavours that really paired well with the fish. We went for the Creole chef collaboration.

Wow. Never disappoints, just nipped down for a very swift lunch in time for the Decatur X Riley?s guest spot and good lord! Had the n?duja devilled scallops, bacon cured pork chop and clams, crab, andouille and langoustine wood fired jambalaya and a bunch of sides. Unreal. Sunshine, Two by Two beer and a beautiful beach view from a deckchair. Thanks again, always a pleasure.
Parking: Free parking a little walk into Tynemouth
Kid-friendliness: A full beach to roam

Simply superb service from the chefs to the waiters - witty, smiling - and the fish soup and baguette out of this world
