a very good local shop, but we have had UNNECESSARY beef with one of the cashiers who wld not serve us because our friend was stood outside, not with us, and then accused her of being drunk!

Small shop and therefore a bit cramped but staff make sure that customers are served quickly. Busy high street pay and display parking. Cash machine.

We were spending a few days in Tynemouth. This Co-op is right in the town centre. It is not like it is a big supermarket but it does have a good selection of everyday food and drink items. Good prices and good quality.

Whoever manages this shop needs to buy a book or go on a training course to learn how to run a shop. The queue today was 20mins, due to just having 1 girl working the checkout. Utterly ridiculous.

They usually have what I need and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. They could do with changing the layout of the shop - when there are big queues (which is a nightmare during the summer), the middle aisle is a nightmare for trying to find something - as there are so many people waiting. They could do with more tills too.
